Benidaruma - Usagi

何よりもオーナーさんが親切でそのポスピタリティに感動しました。オーナーさんには色々助けて頂き、周辺情報も教えて頂きました。種類の多い朝食付きで大変助かりました。立地も良く宝ヶ池駅やバス停のすぐ近くです。インテリアや外装も京都をイメージしたオシャレな和モダン風でした。近くにコンビニがありそのATMでお金を引き出せました。

The property was very stylish, the old Japanese home. The staff was very kind and helpful at all times. We were very grateful. Seeing the train pass from the window was cute. The buffet breakfast provided was very handy.

The shared bathroom had to be booked in advance, which was ok and logical and there was only one for all the guests. But requiered a bit of planning to book the appropriate time

朝食、スナックが食べ放題で気兼ねせずに食べられる事 コインランドリーがあり、洗濯ができた事

お風呂が共用な為予約制である事。 前の人が早く終わったら早めに入れる様に、前詰めできる仕組みがあると尚良い。　名前書いておいて順番待ち、終わったら「次の人入れるよ」の札下げておくなど

Benidaruma-Usagi is a small and unpretentious family-run guesthouse in a northeastern Kyoto suburb. The host is very welcoming and friendly and his son can speak English when he is around. The room was basic but cozy with a table, closet, and a futon on the floor, and the internet was excellent. Breakfast is do-it-yourself and mostly out of plastic packaged items - not fancy, but I was quite satisfied by this. There is good bus service almost to the front door and a nearby park that is nice to walk in, and the Eizan railway can take you into the pretty hills around Kurama. It feels like an authentic experience of Japan.

The shared shower ventilates through an open window that faces right into the neighbor's washing area, so it doesn't feel very private. Although it didn't bother me, the Eizan railway line runs right behind the property so one hears the trains passing by (but they don't run in the middle of the night).
