About this house rental
A beautiful, quaint two bedroom home with a newly remodeled kitchen and updated bathroom with a large garden and backyard seating areas. Each of the two bedrooms have a French door leading out to a large spacious deck with a terraced garden that is both tranquil and peaceful. There are four seating areas including a coffee table/sofa, two pergola areas, and two lounge chairs. A water fountain can drown out any noise, although the neighborhood is very quiet except for traffic on the avenue. Once you are back inside the home, you can enjoy a bath in the jet/jacuzzi bathtub or relax on a large, L-shaped Crate & Barrel sofa that is comfortable and cozy while lounging in front of the modern gas fireplace. The master bedroom mattress is top of the line from Macy's and you will sleep like a baby. Now the kitchen is my favorite. Newly remodeled, it opens to a three-stool bar. The appliances are modern stainless steel and fully stocked with all of the accessories you will need for cooking an amazing meal, or ordering in from any of the great restaurants in San Carlos. The garage is one-car but very large for added storage or doing projects. There is a lot of storage room, a work bench and tools for any project. You will be one mile from downtown San Carlos and I do the walk through the winding neighborhood for lunches or dinners. You are also one mile from Caltrain and there is a bus stop about 10 houses down the street.

We enjoyed our stay at Lena's home in San Carlos. Lena was an amazing hostess! We felt like we have known her forever.
The backyard is absolutely beautiful. Pictures don't do it justice.
The road in front of the house is noisy (which Lena warned us about) and a bit tricky getting out the driveway but doable.
We would highly recommend this house to anyone!

We absolutely loved our stay. Lena is an excellent host, very friendly, accommodating and helpful both before and after our arrival. She always answered our questions promptly. She left us a list of great recommendations for restaurants in the area (one of which we used twice) and local hiking trails to walk our dog. The house is very well appointed and the kitchen is very well equipped. The backyard is quite beautiful, quiet and relaxing - a mini-retreat. Hard to believe it is so close to the big city! We will definitely be repeat visitors to this home.

The perfect 'home away from home' for our family and dog while we were remodeling our house. Great location close to downtown with immaculately clean, modern and comfortable accommodations. Our host, Lena was exceptionally gracious, flexible with our dates of stay and responsive to our needs. She even welcomed us with a gift basket upon arrival. I highly recommend this property!

We had an amazing week in the Bay Area, and Lena’s beautiful home was an inviting and comfortable home away from home for us! Leading up to our stay, Lena was fast to respond and great to communicate with and made sure we had everything we’d need for a comfortable stay. She even went above and beyond and left us stocked with coffee and other goodies, as well as toiletries and all the items you would need. The home is as pictured, if not better! The kitchen has seemingly new appliances and everything you need to feel like your in your own kitchen. The couch and living area was very comfortable and the entire house is appointed beautifully. The real gem here though is the backyard! The pictures don’t nearly do it justice. We more than once just marveled at the beautiful landscaping. It is an absolute oasis and I only wish we’d had more time to simply enjoy it! We had a car and parking was no problem with use of the driveway and clean, spacious garage. The location is very central and pretty much equdistant to all parts of the Bay Area- great for us since that’s exactly what our week looked like. It was also so convenient to be just a few minutes drive from Carlmont Village Shopping Center to pick up groceries or grab a quick bite. I highly recommend staying here for your next trip to the Bay Area.
