About this chalet rental
A recently updated chalet in the village at Big Powderhorn Mountain. Timbuktu is located at the end of a private cul-de-sac and within a short 10-minute walk to Big Powderhorn Lodge and ski lifts. Uniquely, Timbuktu is powered by an on-site solar system which is supplemented by other renewables. Timbuktu is a duplex with us, the owners, living next door. We are happy to assist with questions and advice about the local attractions. Pets are welcome for a fee of $20/pet/night. Come explore the Northwoods!

It was great! Very clean and comfortable. Beds were good. Hot tub and sauna were great. Property was beautiful and very well kept. Kitchen was well stocked. Close to town. We loved it. Only downside is alot of stairs and showers are kind of small but adequate. Would definitely stay again. Host was very nice

Wonderful place to stay. Kids enjoyed hot tub and sauna. Hope to come back again for skiiing and waterfalls. Great owners!

We rented the chalet for a ski trip with two families of four. We had an amazing time, enjoying some of the best skiing in the Midwest. The chalet is perfectly located on the slopes of Powderhorn Mountain, just a two-minute drive away. It’s very comfortable and well-appointed, with all the amenities listed in great condition. The hosts were excellent communicators, answering all my questions promptly and efficiently.The chalet is a bit small for the eight people listed, but it’s not a major issue. Overall, it’s a great location, a very clean place, and has an amazing mud room to store all our skiing gear and coats. The hosts were friendly and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable. We would definitely consider coming back and would highly recommend this chalet.
