About this house rental
Our second home is spacious and clean, in a great location and terrific for families or groups of friends! There are 4 bedrooms upstairs and can easily sleep 9. The kitchen is big with a gas stove and all the amenities for people who love to cook. The living room has a big TV for movie night as well as a table in the dining that can seat 12 for games or meals. The bedrooms are "Bear Lair" with a queen bed, "Velociraptor's Den" with a double bed and a day bed, "Falcons Nest" with a twin bed and "Ma Chambre" with a queen bed. There is an office off this room that has an airbed you can use. We have a locked shed with kayaks you can borrow or safely store your own bicycles etc. The entrance to the house has a big mud room so you can leave your dirty shoes, skis, bicycles there. There's a porch upstairs off the master bedroom. The lawn is great for outside games and we have a shared fire pit.
We're within walking distance of Stumptown Brewery as well as several restaurants and shops. Thomas is just a two-mile drive and boasts great live music and art. There are 3 ski areas within 15 miles as well as 2 State Parks. We don't have central heating or air but it's easy to keep the house cool in summer and warm in winter.

We stayed in the house for a week over Thanksgiving. Although perhaps a little dated, it was spacious and comfortable, and we had a lovely week. I was slightly nervous about the lack of central heating, but the gas fireplace quickly heated up the whole house, and even when the temperatures dipped down into the teens we were never cold.

The description in Amenities comfort lists air conditioning, I did not read about property. It doesn’t say anywhere that there is only a window unit in one room. The house was not ready for 2 hours after check in. Things happen. The host jumped right in on this and refunded us a fair amount. And the cleaning person apologized and welcomed us. The home was clean. I would rent this home again and recommend it.

The home was clean and accurately described in the listing. The photos in the listing may have been taken a few years ago. The house is quaint, a little dated, but in good condition. The downstairs layout is fairly open between the kitchen, dining and living rooms, which encourages togetherness. The showers had awesome water pressure. Motion lights outside in front and back would be helpful for those who arrive after dark. Clear instructions for the gas fireplace would be helpful, but we were able to figure it out; that added nice ambience to our time in the evenings.

I loved this house! Loved the town! The house could’ve used a deep clean but met all my expectations…loved the decor of the place! Loved the books and everything on the walls! Definitely see myself renting this place again
