Do you yearn for relaxation and peace on your vacation?
Then start your day in the gazebo with a cup of smooth local coffee or a cappuccino, watching the sailboats glide along the sea (under a double rainbow if you’re lucky). After a breakfast of local fruit and homemade pancakes, slide into the pool and float, warmed by the Caribbean sun, surrounded by cashew trees and brilliant bougainvillea, with the postcard-perfect panorama of the Pitons and the Caribbean stretching across the horizon.
Have Doxie's pumpkin soup for a delicious light lunch, then pack up our snorkel gear and head to Anse Chastanet beach (less than a 10 minute drive away) for an afternoon snorkel. Return to the villa to watch the sun set over the Caribbean in streaks of brilliant pink and orange while you sip local spiced rum with ginger ale, then dine on Doxie’s meal of grilled freshly-caught fish marinated in local seasonings with a salad, rice, and chocolate cake (from local cocoa, of course).
As the sky deepens to deep purple velvet and the stars emerge, take our Bluetooth speaker outside and listen to your favorite music while you talk with your companions, or just sit in awe of the beauty. Look up to see the inky black sky with billions of stars and the Milky Way flowing across it (when is the last time you saw the Milky Way?) Watch for shooting stars. Then sink into our comfortable Simmons BeautyRest mattresses and sleep deeply in the quiet, with just the breeze rustling the leaves and the singing of the tree frogs as a lullaby.
Or perhaps your ideal vacation is adventure and thrills?
Get up as the first fingers of dawn creep down from the mountains, grab some snacks and fill up our thermoses with water - you're headed to climb a mountain! Get a guide at the Anse L'ivrogne beach for the 2600-foot hike/climb or make it a little easier by starting higher up from Fond Gens Libre. Prefer SCUBA diving? Go out with Action Adventure Divers (“Chester”). ATV’s more your speed? Head to Choiseul for an ATV ride through the rainforest and chase each other along black sand beaches.
Whether you want to just relax or be very active, or a mix of the two, our friendly staff will help you have a memorable vacation. They’ll keep the villa clean, help you plan your activities, and anything else you need to make your vacation truly unforgettable. Hotels offer meal plans and tours and driver services, and we do, too - just inquire for details and pricing.
We’ve stocked the villa with adventure gear for you (beach chairs and towels and umbrellas and blankets, coolers, snorkel gear, etc.) and have WiFi throughout the villa with Alexa and Amazon Music Unlimited to make your stay even more convenient!
FAQ:
Staff:
Just like at a hotel, the staff must be in, on, or near the property most of the time. If you hire Doxie to cook for you, she has to do that in the villa. You may not tell the staff to leave the property or prohibit them from entering the villa for extended periods of time that interfere with their maintenance duties. You may ask them to give you as much privacy as they can while still completing their chores. Housekeeping and pool maintenance are performed daily.
Cooking/meals: Cooking services are extra and are from $14US to $28US to cook a standard meal for up to six people. Doxie also offers an option where she does the cooking and provides the groceries. Ask for pricing and details.
Privacy: Doxie is the only staff person that will be in the villa for more than a few minutes. If you prefer privacy, simply ask her to step outside when she is done or request that she does her indoor chores after you have left the villa.
Privacy and cooking services: You'll have to give up some privacy for cooking services, as meals are prepared in the villa kitchen and it's an open floor plan. Doxie usually comes up in the morning but cooks dinner in the afternoon, and she does not have a vehicle so she can’t go home and return when it’s time to cook. At your request, she will wait outside after completing her morning chores until it is time to cook. If you prefer as much privacy as possible but still want dinners made, we suggest you have her cook dinners on days when you are not in the villa.
Driver: We’re happy to provide you information on the driver’s pricing – please ask. If you wish to hire him, just let us know – you do not need to contact him yourself.
Insects and other creatures: We have mosquito-control traps and treat regularly for other insects. It is a tropical location, and the house is open-air (no glass over the windows) so there will be a few insects and other creatures (geckos, anoles, birds and occasionally a bat or mouse). Minimize flying insects by turning off all the lights inside the house at night if you are outdoors or closing all the doors at night if you are inside.
Air-conditioning: Given the open nature of the house, including interior walls that do not go to the ceiling, the air conditioning in the bedrooms will not be able to cool the rooms. They blow cool air on the beds to make sleeping a little more comfortable.
Welcome pack: We include a complimentary welcome pack of food and beverages, enough for a happy hour and a light dinner. We supply local Green-Gold coffee and a selection of teas for your stay.
Children: The villa and grounds pose inherent dangers for young children, including 220V outlets up 18 inches from the floor, chemicals stored in places children can access, and a 30-foot drop from the back railing to the forest below. Our staff’s duties do not include watching children, although they can arrange a babysitter for you at an extra charge.

The view on this property is the best on the island. It was an absolute delight to experience it on a daily basis. My boyfriend and I loved watching the boats and ships cruise around. It was also a joy to watch the weather roll in and out over the Pitons. Truly, we were wonderfully grateful to have booked this listing for the beautiful view. We realize the value in the property for the price. It was just the two of us but for a family, the price would be hard to beat. There were some details of the property that would inspire use to book elsewhere. We found the cleanliness of the house and overall upkeep in need of extra love and attention. Both my boyfriend and I own rental properties and have managed vacation rentals before, we understand general wear-and-tear but some details should be corrected and upheld for the standard of a rental. The staff were lovely, we appreciated the convenience of having built in help and care available. There were times we felt like we were sharing the home that infringed on our ideal of privacy. Having the luxury of a housekeeper on-site daily was great but then we would end up sweeping up or tidying up ourselves anyhow. Food in the island was subpar. We found Doxie's cooking to be outstanding by comparison and enjoyed many meals made by her enjoying the view. The only restaurant we really loved was Rabot at the Hotel Chocolat. A bit pricey, but right up out alley. The architecture of the house we found to be a bit odd with the walls only partially up to the ceiling. This allows noise in the house to travel easily. For my boyfriend and I it was alright, but we imagined having other friends or family there and what that might be like. If you are the first one or last one awake, you'd need to tip-toe around to avoid disturbing others. Perhaps this isn't an issue for most guests but something to consider when booking. The road leading up to the house was quite the experience. We got used to it throughout our stay. Going to the beach is $45 roundtrip using Junior's transportation, which shocked us at first but we understand why and would have spent what we did or more on a rental car. The beach down the hill (Anse Chastenet/Anse Mamin) were great, peaceful and quiet. The snorkeling there is fantastic! Overall we had a lovely time at the house and a great vacation.
