*RATES: $125.00 per night for 2 adults. $25.00 extra per night for each additional guest up to a total of 4 people. Additional rates for cleaning, VRBO fees, and taxes.
*FISHING TOURNAMENTS: If you are coming for a fishing tournament, GPS puts us at 9 miles from Dayton boat dock at Lake Chickamauga . This is incorrect information! We have tried to get Google maps to change this, but they haven't. We are closer to 50 miles from the lake.
Come relax in our cozy 2 bedroom, fully furnished guest cottage located on 10 acres at the Head of the Sequatchie Valley, halfway between Crossville and Pikeville. We are tucked in by the beautiful hills of God's Country. There is something very special in this space between the mountains. Walk down to the Sequatchie river which runs through our homestead and enjoy what nature provides each season. In hot weather, dip your feet in the cool water or sit on the cedar swing and read a book while listening to the relaxing sound of the river. If you are looking to escape city life, have a personal retreat, or a quiet getaway, we offer a peaceful respite for rest and relaxation. We are next to the NOW-OPENED Justin P. Wilson Cumberland Trail State Park (open daily from 9-5) Also in Cumberland County, the golf capital of Tennessee, are ten championship golf courses. We are 20 minutes South of Crossville, TN, on the Cumberland Plateau which is home to the Cumberland County Playhouse, the historic homestead area, and Cumberland Mountain State Park. We are also one hour from the beautiful Fall Creek Falls State park. Other nearby waterfalls include Burgess Falls, Cummins Falls, Ozone Falls, and Rock Island State Park, among others. We are conveniently located 1 1/2 hours from Chattanooga and Knoxville. We are also 2 hours from the Great Smoky Mountains and Nashville. Our guest cottage is remote, quiet, and peaceful. Depending on the season and weather, we can offer a campfire down by the river, horse shoe pit, barbecue grill, and supervised use of the wood stove. This property located in the valley does not have cell service, although we do have free WI-FI, and if your phone has WI-FI calling, you will be able to make calls. There is no cable TV, but we do have Netflix, Pandora, and plenty of DVD's/Blue Ray movies for your enjoyment.

The owners, Larry and Beverly, were wonderful hosts. We were welcomed with a sweet sign and delicious, homemade banana bread. This was the cleanest home-away-from-home we've been in thus far. Beverly's handmade soaps were a nice touch and we liked them so well, we bought several to take home with us. The area is beautiful and serene. Nature is the only sound you'll hear. We saw plenty of deer and turkey while out and about in the area. There are a billion stars to see at night and the sound of the creek is so peaceful. We will definitely be staying here again. It is a favorite!

Staying at this cottage is like stepping straight into the best parts of childhood, but only the good memories, the comforting ones you wish you could bottle up and keep forever. From the moment you arrive, you feel cared for in a way that’s rare these days. Knowing that you’ve been prayed for set such a peaceful tone, like the whole place was already wrapped in blessing.Every detail feels intentional. The welcome goodies are thoughtful and generous, the kind of touches that make you smile before you’ve even unpacked. And the soap… buy all the soaps. Truly the best soap ever—beautiful, luxurious, and somehow part of the whole healing experience.The cottage sits right in the heart of the Scripture “He makes me lie down in green pastures”. It’s tranquil, restorative, and absolutely perfect for a getaway that nourishes your soul. If you’re looking for a place to truly unplug and brings peace, nostalgia, and genuine care, THIS. IS. IT!

We absolutely loved our stay here! Larry and Beverly were truly exceptional hosts. Hands down the best I’ve ever encountered. They went above and beyond in every way and you can tell how much thought and care they put into making guests feel welcome. The space was comfortable, cozy, and had so many personal touches that make a trip feel special.We really, really enjoyed our time here and can’t recommend it enough. If you’re thinking of booking, do it. You’ll be glad you did!

The entire stay was amazing! Clean, and it felt like home. It is in a great area to walk and the views are amazing! It will be our new spot when we visit our daughters and their family!
