About this house rental
This beautifully decorated home with its spectacular views is unlike any other in Big Bear Lake. Located on a quiet cul-de-sac on Inspiration Point at the far reaches of Boulder Bay, the views are breathtaking from every direction. Expect an 'over the top' experience when staying in this home. The unique living space offers a cozy and comfortable cabin feeling. The beautiful full round hand peeled logs, the hardwood floors, granite counter tops and comfortable furniture boasts a true mountain home experience. The outdoor patio with fireplace is where you will probably spend much of your time enjoying the view and relaxing as you listen to the mountain sounds next to a crackling fire. The lower patio is a perfect place to relax in an Adirondack chair with your feet up as you watch the 'Pirate Ship' or 'Big Bear Queen' tour boats go by -- have your camera ready! If you are a sun worshiper, you'll enjoy the 3rd patio lakeside, or better yet, go ahead and walk out onto the dock to be even closer to all of the lake action -- fishing, boating, boarding, tubing, kayaking and swimming. As evening approaches, have your camera ready again because you will see some of the most beautiful sunsets ever.
Visit The Village with all of its unique shops and quaint restaurants. Take advantage of countless hiking and biking trails and other attractions. Whatever you like, we are sure you will make wonderful memories at 'The Grand on Inspiration Point' in Big Bear Lake -- Southern California's only Four Season getaway.

After nine years of coming here, it's always breathtaking. Experienced incredibly beautiful fog hovering over the lake. It's so comfortable at this house. Feels like coming home to nice clean house every time.

Stunning home and location! Exceptionally clean and well stocked with everything you need for a peaceful get away. Beautifully decorated, landscaped and well maintained. There are many spaces to take in the view of the lake or relax by the fire. Plenty of room to enjoy time together or escape for some solitude. Great communication with prompt reply and convenient check in.

While the property has lovely views, there are a few significant drawbacks. Only one of the four bedrooms (the dark one in the basement with no attached bath) had true curtains, while the other three bedrooms (including the master) had skylights or sheers, making it difficult to sleep past sunrise. The kitchen was disappointing—lacking sharp knives, with poor-quality pots and pans, and an outdated stove with malfunctioning gas burners and no oven light. The bathrooms are quite dark, and the outside jacuzzi, while nice to have, has seen better days. Many lightbulbs were out or not installed at all, and despite the landlord's assurance that they would be fixed, nothing changed during our stay. Additionally, the carpeting is very worn (looked dirty) and becoming unseamed in many spotsThe home itself felt dated, which contributed to the overall impression. On the plus side, the beds were very comfortable, and the numerous fireplaces were a nice feature. You do need to bring your own firewood, which we did. However, our sleep was definitely disturbed—an issue the homeowner surprisingly had no prior knowledge of and suggested I should have brought sleep masks, which I found quite odd. Additionally, having to haul your own trash in your car to an off-site location was very unpleasant, especially considering the rental price.Overall, the views are beautiful, but the home requires better maintenance and some updates to justify the cost.
