About this house rental
This family-owned vacation home looks brand new inside and out. This property is situated on 100 feet of lake frontage. The interior is breath taking with open family room, high cathedral ceilings, panoramic windows facing the lake with floor to ceiling fireplace.
The outdoor living features a huge deck surrounded by flowers. You can enjoy yourself under an umbrella in a love seat or sofa chair or stretch out and get some sun in a lounge chair or the many deck chairs. A hot tub is located at the upper deck with views of the lake. The deck includes a large table that can seat 10.
The deck has an outdoor kitchen with gas grill, gas stove burners, refrigerator, sink, large counter space with storage for food, utensils and beverages. The outdoor kitchen has bar stools and umbrellas if you want shade.
There is a separate deck level for the fire pit providing an area to mingle around the fire. Split wood is furnished.
The backyard includes a sand volleyball court. Some families use the volleyball court as a super huge sandbox for the kids with sand toys available.
The deck has an outdoor shower with warm water to rinse yourself off from the lake or get the sand off from the volleyball court.
The rear porch has a second grill, table and chairs, and porch chairs.
The vacation home has many premium features providing a luxurious vacation or get away on beautiful 20+ mile long Lake Leelanau with air conditioning. Lake Leelanau is an all sports lake for swimming, boating, water skiing, and great fishing for walleye and bass. You can take your boat to the towns of Lake Leelanau, Leland, or Cedar for excellent dining, sight-seeing or shopping or across the lake to a bar/restaurant. Gas service for your boat is available at three locations on the lake.
Five kayaks and two paddleboards are available at no charge. If you bring your own boat, it can be tied to the dock. There is a public boat launch within a couple blocks from the home.
The architect that designed this home had lake views in mind from almost every room in the house. The open floor plan for the large family room, kitchen and dining room has three sets of windows/sliders providing a panoramic view of the lake and beach area. Glass around the east and west side allow both sunrise and sunset views. A beautiful fireplace and large screen high-definition television is also part of the room features.
The home is about 100 feet from the water's edge. The home is about 1000 feet from the main road on 2+ acres of private property providing a nice environment for the kids away from traffic. Pedal carts, bicycles are normally available and great for the kids on the long, paved driveway. A basketball hoop is in the front of the house.
The home has four bedrooms and sleeps up to ten. The master bedroom is large with a slider to the deck and has a king size bed, a HD TV, a large private bathroom with a walk-in shower.
Two bedrooms have queen sized beds. The fourth bedroom also serves as a rec room. It is about 400 sf with two single beds (or put together for a king size bed), pull-out queen size sofa sleeper, HD 55 inch TV.
The kitchen is fully equipped with almost all small appliances, spices and utensils. There is a washer and dryer.
No Smoking. No Pets, local kennel is only 20 minutes away.
The waterfront cottage is just a short drive from Lake Michigan, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park, Shopping at Glen Arbor, Leland, Lake Leelanau, Suttons Bay, Traverse City.
Golf is nearby at Sugar Loaf Golf, Manitou Passage, or the Leelanau Club (Bahles Farm). Two Casinos - Leelanau Sands Casino in Suttons Bay and Turtle Creek Casino in Williamsburg.
Many sightseeing opportunities throughout the entire county, more than 25 local wineries and many restaurants available in the area. Come in the fall for an incredible color tour.

We had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful property. Its location was perfect for enjoying both the lake and the many activities in the surrounding areas, like biking, exploring towns, doing the Dune climb, and visiting some wineries. The property was very clean and so well stocked. We cooked many meals in the kitchen and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful outdoor patio, deck, and grilling area. We are so grateful for our time in this lovely home in a beautiful location.

This was perhaps the best experience I've ever had with a rental home. Larry was a great communicator throughout. Booking was super easy, as was check-in. The house is immaculate - has all the amenities you could want or ever need. The location was perfect and we didn't even bother leaving the property for most of our vacation. We will definitely want to stay here again.

This is our third year staying at this home. It is beautiful inside and out. The owners, Larry & Jackie, are accommodating and make your stay exceptional. The home is well stocked so cooking is fun and the waterfront setting makes you want to spend your days on the lakefront. The hot tub is an added benefit. There is lots of room for several families to be together or spend time apart. The location is perfect with just a short ride to Leland, Suttons Bay and Traverse City.
