About this apartment rental
Just completed a complete (5-2025) remodel of our River front condo on the beautiful Homosassa River. Twenty minute boat ride on the peaceful river with manatees, dolphins and I have even seen an otter; to the Gulf of Mexico where you can enjoy fantastic fishing, snorkling, diving and boating. Our 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo is well equipped with a fully stocked kitchen. We have a dining table for 6 as well as a living room that over looks the spectacular river with great Florida sunsets. The condo is 1400 sq ft of living space plus a screened in porch.
Bring your boat and dock it in your own private, covered boat slip in the backyard. There is a cleaning station on the dock with built in sink and running water to clean your catch. You will also find a hose at the dock to wash your boat. If coming with a boat, please contact me before booking as we have NO TRAILER PARKING on site. I have a place where a trailer can be parked, but have to talk to the friend before hand. Also only 1 boat per unit.
Situated across the river from Old Homosassa we are just a short ride either by boat or car from several local restaurants and bars. Some suggestions are The Freezer, with its giant Tiki Hut, built in a converted refrigeration unit in the middle of a working fishing fleet yard. Crump’s Landing with its boardwalk and dining along the river., live entertainment on weekends. Margarita Grill with its indoor seating and outdoor seating overlooking the river. Macrae's riverside bar, known as The Shed to the locals, where parties are never-ending and live music most weekends. Riverside, with its famous Monkey Bar, overlooking Monkey Island, provides several bars and eateries. The Old Mill Tavern, the Museum Cafe, Dogs and Scoops, River Safari Deli and The Old Homosassa Smokehouse, the list is endless and grows on a daily basis. Old Homosassa is host to the annual Seafood Festival, fishing tournaments, raft races, poker runs, blues concerts and celebrates every major holiday in grand style!
Homosassa State Wildlife Park is just a five minute drive away. Grocery stores, major restaurant chains and the Crystal River Mall are not much further. The attractions and shopping of Tampa, Ocala and Orlando are within easy reach, should you be able to bare to leave our sleepy little fishing village where relaxation and chilling out is a way of life!
Our condo association only allows rentals of 1 month or longer.
1 hour to Tampa or Ocala and 90 minutes to Disney/Orlando.

Loved watching boat and Dolphin activity on the River. Great location for local attractions and close enough to the Withlacoochee Rails to Trails bike trail for daily rides. Electronic recliner chairs were so very comfortable and the bed mattress the best ever.

We have been "snow birds" duringi February and March for the past two years. This rental is the perfect place to enjoy Florida. Easy access to grocery stores, pharmacies, banks, etc. The condo has recently been renovated and the owners have done a wonderful job in making it a very comfortable and clean place to stay. The river is just a few feet away and it's very relaxing to watch all the activity on the river. We were very impressed with this condo and hope to rent again in the future.
