About this house rental
Bayview Vacation Home in Homer, Alaska invites you to experience unobstructed panoramic view. It sits atop a hillside overlooking downtown, Beluga Lake, Homer airport, Kachemak Bay, Homer Spit, Kenai Mountains and beautiful glaciers. The view from our house is very colorful, inspiring and ever-changing. Snow-capped mountains, glaciers, green forests, glowing yellow meadows during sunset, and a sea of clouds along the blue bay are just some of the stunning views you can see during the day. At night, you can see the street lights sparkling on the Spit and the town. Even during rainy days, you will enjoy enchanting views of reflecting water droplets.
Our home was custom built in 2003 and faces nearly one acre of wild flower gardens. The entire house has a living area of 3,200 square feet, divided into upper and lower levels. We have rented out the entire house for 16 years. Now we are retired and would like to stay at the upper level from time to time so we decided to rent out the lower unit only.
The lower unit is about 1600 square foot. It has its own private entrance and it has a big living room with panoramic windows overlooking the spit, Kachemak bay, glaciers and mountains. It contains two big bedrooms. One room has one queen-size bed and the other has two full-size beds. Both rooms have large windows to view the Spit and Kenai mountains. The complete kitchen is well equipped with all the necessary amenities and there is a dining area for your to enjoy your meals.
Our home sits on a private street where you can enjoy the serene wilderness, but easily get to town and the Spit within a few minutes drive. We have 3 security cameras. One is on the side of the house facing the parking area and the others are on the outside of the shed. They will be on during your stay.
Our lower unit is the best for you to enjoy your vacation in Homer. Here are the features which you can not find from other places.

Wonderful, everyone loved it, seems owner adds owner fees beyond what was described. Was adding to my total after everything was paid. Keep it simple and transparent! Awesome location! All seven of us loved the view and the quiet and the eagles.

We picked this house for its amazing views and it certainly delivered! There are no blackout shades, so if you are visiting in the summer and are sensitive to light, don't forget your eye mask. Plenty of space, and we loved the quiet neighborhood - only neighbor we could hear was a wonderful Bald Eagle nesting nearby!
