About this house rental
This newly remodeled cabin hosts an open floor plan with huge windows overlooking the pasture, gardens, and pecan grove. A new modern eclectic kitchen with vintage sink and butcher block counters opens to the main living area capable of supporting festive getaways with friends and family. Both bedrooms feature new queen beds with high quality linens for a comfortable rest. Newly remodeled bathroom features a bath/shower combo to accommodate guests needs plus luxurious towels for added comfort. Open loft upstairs off second bedroom allows for extra sleeping arrangements, a place to do yoga, play music or just relax with a book. Outside there is a wrap around deck perfect for grilling, watching the sunrise and stars, wildlife viewing, and all the happenings going on in the gardens. There are hiking trails through the woods, a creek to explore, a fishing pond and during the late winter months maple sugaring adventures to enjoy. We have many projects (and dreams) in the works at Sweet Hills Farm but currently the focus is on an extensive garden project and glade restoration.

We have used this property twice for our out of town family and friends. It is a unique property in a beautiful rural setting with a porch to view the night sky (or the morning meadow), extensive trails for walking if so inclined. The house itself is about 3/4 mile up a gravel drive which makes it beautifully secluded. The owners live just a bit further up the drive and were very responsive. I have been inclined to rent it for a personal retreat space. Just being there is calming. I was so glad that we found this property. For those who appreciate the out of doors and an off-the beaten-path feeling, it is PERFECT.

What a fun location. It was so quiet with nature all around.

This space was wonderfully decorated and perfectly secluded. We disconnected to reconnect--played board games, stargazed, played at the small pond, cooked all our meals, and hung out on the front porch. The host dropped a lasagna pan and gave us latitude on check-in. Plenty of room for my family of four to chill out. While in town we recommend biking on the Katy, splashing in the Devil's Ice Box, hiking the Pinnacles, and eating Sparky's Ice Cream.

If need to unplug, this quiet cabin nestled in the country north of Columbia will be a good choice. More clarity is needed in the actual location since it is surrounded by pasture and requires traveling on gravel to rock roads in order to arrive to the home. The inside of the home is fairly accurate to the photos; but, the grounds and exterior have not been kept up. We did have a great night sleep as incredibly quiet and great area to unplug.
