About this house rental
Casa Romero is a newly restored 100 year old family home with original vigas and 20 inch thick adobe walls. This romantic, charming home is a beautiful, peaceful home that truly is a home away from home. Just a 15 minute drive to Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort, and 10 minutes to the Pecos Wilderness Trail Head, Carson National Forest. Taos, NM 20 miles away, and Santa Fe, merely an hour away.
Our newly restored home has maintained its original charm with modern touches, such as hand-sanded hardwood floors, new upscale appliances, granite countertops, soaker tub w/jets, custom built shower, and reclining leather couches.
Kitchen fully equipped, 6-burner gas stovetop, wall oven, microwave, dishwasher, opens to a private portal for outdoor eating, grilling and relaxation.
Master bedroom with queen bed on main floor. Third bed is in upstairs loft. Has private outside entrance, large sitting area, queen bed, and 1/2 bath. The adjoining balcony provides an awesome view of the majestic Jicarita Peak and surrounding open fields.
Washer/dryer, bed and bath linens provided.
Come enjoy a peaceful, quiet weekend in the beautiful Penasco Valley.

Great little home off the beaten path. Great views and was happy with the location. About an hour to Santa Fe and about 40 minutes to Taos. Had a wonderful time.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mi Casa - clean, spacious, great location. The only downside was internet went down, but our host responded quickly.

Clean property and nicely equipped (kitchen, bathrooms, BBQ, laundry facilities). The location is quite remote (a grocery with fresh fruit/veggies is 30 minutes), but centrally located to visit Taos, Santa Fe, and Los Alamos.

This is the second stay for us at this home. Very nicely updated adobe home. We love the outdoor spaces and the amazing views and plenty of room for our family. Ben the owner responded very quickly to questions. I love the open floor plan that allowed us to cook while visiting. Well stocked with basic necessities. If you enjoy watching hummingbirds bring a feeder and you will be thoroughly entertained.
