Very wonderful town

A nicely renovated property over 5 levels with a small shared pool. You have to be OK with stairs to stay here. Well equipped but sadly the beds were very uncomfortable making a good nights sleep very difficult. Owners very responsive to communication. Medina Sidonia is a charming hilltop town within easy reach of beautiful beaches, Jerez and Cadiz

A well equipped central town house in a beautiful hilltop village. Very easy to book and good communication with the owners and local manager. Medina Sidonia is within easy reach of beaches and towns such as Jerez, Cadiz, Arcos de la Frontera and Seville a little further away. Also less than an hour from Gibraltar airport. Would recommend and would return.

As other reviewers have stated before, this is a very beautifully renovated and well-equipped townhouse in a somewhat dull but excellently located little town. You can reach Vejer, Conil, Jerez, Cadiz and even Sevilla in relatively short time by car. The house as such is nice and cool in summer. Also positive for families with teenage kids that there are 3 sleeping options. However, there is a major negative point that leads to a 4-star-only rating (and might have easily been 3 stars only): from the advertisement, it was not entirely transparent that the outside area (pool and rooftop terrace, the latter being the major attraction of the entire house) is shared with other parties. On the contrary, the owners explicitly praise praise the privacy of the site. Had we known this before, we would not have booked here. It may also not be a big problem if only nice neighbors such as the very kind British lady who owns one of the other apartments are present. But in our case, there was a family who loved to yell at each other all day, starting in the early morning in the pool which made sleeping impossible. Also, using the very small pool is rather inconvenient when people let their kids just jump on you while you're in the water. All in all, a mixed experience which could be avoided by more transparency in the ad.
