Relaxed Beach living - 1 Bed/1 Bath with Private Garden, steps to Ocean

It was a convenient, comfortable location. The apartment and grounds were well maintained. The hosts were very accommodating, making us feel welcome and comfortable.

The host was friendly and accommodating. Clean and neat and just a very short walk to the beach. The shady pergola area was shady and relaxing.

Friend and I came for two Pearl Jam shows and stayed at this awesome location. Our apartment was clean and comfortable. We spent a lot of time in the tiki hut listening to music and drinking beer. Beach is a stone throw away as well as the broadwalk well within walking distance. Host was awesome and gave great recommendations for restaurants and bars. Will definitely stay here again should I have an opportunity.

This property is amazing. We stayed in Unit 1. It was small but there were only 2 of us so it was perfect size. The kitchen was large enough to make breakfast every morning before venturing out and our hosts left us a large selection of snacks, a bottle of wine (we don't drink, but I loved the thought behind it and there was sparkling water too!) and a couple of large bottles of water. It was nicely stocked with pots and pans, although it lacked a cooking sheet for the oven (solved that problem with a cheap box of tinfoil from the local Target). Probably due to covid, there are no spices for cooking, but there are numerous grocery stores to purchase such items - or you could do what we did, which is grab a couple extra salt and pepper packets from the burger joint where you have lunch! The bedroom was comfy and the bathroom was clean and had a nice selection of soaps. The only negative I can think of is the hair dryer was a small travel sized dryer that was never going to dry my daughter's thick south american mane of hair :) And for travelers like me who look at pictures and read reviews, but don't always read all the property descriptions, there is a washer and dryer but it is not in the unit. Its around the back. Washer is free, dryer takes quarters that the owner was happy to supply. Speaking of, I had several conversations with both Brian and Aleyda. They are very nice and engaging and obviously care a great deal about their property. They answered all my questions, responded to messages quickly, and gave us some great ideas of things to do in the area. I also enjoyed meeting and talking to their son "Anakin". For guests who prefer their privacy, rest assured that Aleyda intervened to protect mine, but I was enjoying the conversation so I let him keep talking. He's a Star Wars fan. If you rent this property, ask him who Luke's father is and then sit back and enjoy. He's a great conversationalist.The garden is GORGEOUS and I spent my quiet time with God in the cabana every morning. The beach is short walk away, very clean and private. The boisterous boardwalk is a short drive away (although parking is a nightmare) and there are bikes to use on the property. Skip the Tiki Restaurant across the street. It is overpriced for mediocre food. There are couple of really good mexican joints on the boardwalk for dinner instead.We loved this property. We would definitely use it again if we ever returned to North Hollywood.
