The accomodation was convenient, easy to locate, super convenient to major attractions many within walking distance. The host is an absolute gem. Very knowledgeable, super friendly. Helpful and available. Keeps the accommodation super clean. Plenty of extras. Perfect destination.

Nothing it was perfect.

Great location, very close to town center and many restaurants, yet quiet. The room is comfortable. There is a kitchen and a washing machine which everyone can use.

Parking is narrow and only for one car, not sure what happens if other guests need parking, too. You are very close to the other guests (their bathroom is right next to the bedroom with ensuite), so they need to be considerate for your stay to be quiet (which in our case they were). By Western standards, the kitchen is not fully equipped, as it is described, as there are no pots or pans, and only a microwave to heat things; also a rather random selection of dishes. The room description says there is a terrace; there is a tiny communal terrace to hang the washing, no terrace that belongs to the room. Personally, we found the host a bit "too much", especially after a long and stressful drive. He was very friendly and helpful, though.

No score is too high for this property or its manager, Steven. As soon as I arrived, he gave me a thorough briefing – full of humorous asides – covering everything practical I could need to know for a good, safe, enjoyable, varied stay in Melaka. He then gave me a tour of my room and the property, including its kitchen with its hot/cold mineral water machine, fridge, microwave, complimentary noodles, tea/coffee, and even a washing machine. My room was a 'Superior Queen Room', which meant it was large, had its own bathroom, a very comfortable bed and good air conditioning. WiFi was reliable throughout. The property location was excellent, just on the fringe of the centre with restaurants and a 7-Eleven only a short walk away, the street was almost totally silent at night. And to complete a perfect stay, Steven even drove me down to the bus station after I checked-out. Fantastic service, and overall superb value for money.

Room could have been a bit more spacious. Softer pillows are personally preferred. Hard pillows, beds decreased sleep quality during travel.
