This is a lovely, custom home that has won the ASID Design Contest and featured in Minneapolis/St.Paul Magazine. Designed to feel like a cozy Hampton’s Cottage, with lake views from every room.
Large adjacent screened gazebo for additional outdoor living. 5 bedrooms with 4 full baths. (3 bedrooms have their own sink in their room) Kitchen with marble island, breakfast area and a hearth stove surround (stove, refrigerator, microwave, trash compactor) 2 wood burning fireplaces and a gas fireplace. The two-story dining room with a dormer is perched above a panoramic view of beautiful Nelson Lake. Vaulted ceilings, charming dormers and a lovely skylight add unusual detail.
This serene private setting offers 400’ of private lakeshore. House was beautiful and comfortable. The lake location and sand beach were the best parts. Perfect for our young grandkids to fish, play and swim.

We had a wonderful week at this beautiful home! We have additional family on this lake, so it was awesome to find a home to rent on the same lake, that would accommodate us. It was a bit of a family reunion, and over the week we ranged in age from 3-78! The house accommodated us all! Nestled on a beautiful lot, the home is right on the water. The large kitchen and great deck allowed us to grill and enjoy meals together. We enjoyed the spacious lawn, playing outdoor games, watching the Olympics, playing many card games, and just being together in a very comfortable atmosphere. Our kids and grandkids love to waterski, wakeboard, tube, swim, etc., so a big portion of our week was spent on the water. Some also fished and enjoyed some success with that! :) We mostly ate at the house, but enjoyed the "real bakery" in town for some morning treats, and the trip down Main Street was a fun one. The coffee shop and grocery options are quite good. We had a couple of issues throughout our stay and the host was responsive in getting those sorted out. The outdoor gazebo was a wonderful spot to enjoy the outdoors and avoid the bugs! lol There are several beautiful arrangements and art pieces in the home, some of which we gently put in a closet for the week so that they were not a temptation to the little ones! We would definitely come back if the opportunity arises!

We stayed at this beautiful lake home for a long weekend in October. It was very quiet and peaceful on the lake. We enjoyed walks up the road and throwing rocks along the shore. We played catch in the huge yard and had a fire in the fire pit. It turned into a snowy weekend(!) so we only had one outdoor fire and enjoyed playing games indoors next to the indoor fireplace!This kitchen is well stocked with forks for roasting marshmallows, crockpot (which we used), tupperware, plenty of pans, dishes, and silverware for a crowd. There are also a couple puzzles and games. The kids were a little disappointed that the gazebo furniture was covered up for winter but it's totally understandable for the time of year--not like we could have enjoyed it on that frigid weekend! It would be a fantastic, screened-in space to hangout in nicer weather!There is tons of space inside and out and had everything we could need!
