About this house rental
Every aspect of this home has been completely rebuilt from the foundation up. In early 2016 we took on the monumental task of taking the existing structure down to the foundation. We meticulously removed everything between the foundation and the roof structure expanding and re-configuring the floor plan. The end result was an efficient 2 bedroom 2 bath beach house with top end finishes that lives sophisticated but comfortable. Walls, windows, kitchen, baths, fireplace, flat screen TV (Premium Channels) Herring bone patterned floors, Mahogany doors, Quartz counters, Stainless steel appliances, French doors open to front patio.

Great Ocean Beach villa! The location is great for spending time in Ocean Beach and for excursions into San Diego. Just around the corner from the beach, bike trail and all of the stops in OB. The small portable AC unit kept the entire villa cool. I wish we would have been able to stay more than two nights as I would have enjoyed sitting out on the welcoming patio. Because there seems to be the occasional complaint, if you have issues with the key lockbox a quick google search will find a video and you will have it opened in seconds. All in all, a great stay.

Host communication could be improved. We would have appreciated receiving his specialized instructions on how to open and lock the front door, which we did not receive until we checked in. I informed the host that 2 of the 3 outlets in the bedroom did not work, and he insisted they were all operational, without even checking. So, there was no reading lamp available in the bedroom due to no working electric outlet. Also, there was only one very small reading lamp in the living room, so it was very dim inside for reading. It would have been helpful to have TWO reading lamps for either side of the couch for guest to be able to read.
