About this house rental
Our beautiful and welcoming home, perched high above the Ashokan Reservoir, is spacious, well appointed, sun filled, and powered by the sun! The property offers stunning 180 degree views of the southern Catskills Mountains and of the Mohonk Mountain preserve.
Besides the view, the property offers a luxurious in ground pool, fenced-in, one acre yard, another acre of lawn and gardens to the side of the house, plus a large, outdoor deck facing the reservoir with Weber gas grill, comfortable lounge furniture, and views of the sunset that will leave you breathless.
Our mountain top home is located on a mile long, dead-end road, great for morning runs and evening walks.
Indoors, three bedrooms upstairs all have comfortable, queen sized beds, air conditioning, and large California Closet style closets. The upstairs bath is reminiscent of 1920s New York City with dark blue and white hexagon tiled floor, regal pedestal sink, and spa quality rain shower fixture. The main suite, which can be closed off from the rest of the upstairs area, offers a spacious, walk in closet with many hanging and storage options, and an ensuite bath with dreamy, clawfoot tub plus beautiful vanity and magnificent sink. There's even extra space for luggage and belongings in an adjunct space behind the bedroom that we use as a work out space.
Downstairs, the completely renovated kitchen includes a Wolf range, large Sub Zero fridge, and Bosch dishwasher and microwave. Pots, pans, chef knifes, and kitchen tools make for easy prep of any meal or celebration you desire.
The living room area is comfortable and cozy with air conditioning, large, sectional sofa, Smart TV offering endless entertainment, wood burning fireplace (plenty of firewood available), card game table, and AirPlay speakers for streaming music. There's another full bath in this area with antique vanity and rain shower fixture in the bath. And, two sliding glass doors lead out to the large deck where you'll find a Weber gas grill and cozy lounge furniture, all overlooking the glorious Ashokan Reservoir.
Other important information includes automatic-on generator in case of power outage, high speed Wifi throughout, Ring Doorbell camera at front door, cell phone service, seven minutes drive to the Village of Woodstock, private and quiet setting, and....did we mention the view?

Beautiful, amazing views! Sat on the deck to enjoy each meal. Top notch appliances in the kitchen which made cooking fun and easy. The house was very clean and we appreciated towels and sheets being included. House is just a short drive from downtown Woodstock.

Had a relaxing getaway with friends at this house; this was our 2nd time here. The view and pool makes for a great experience. We lounged by the pool, made delicious food in the amazing kitchen, and enjoyed movie nights in the comfy living room. Highly recommend for those seeking a getaway near Woodstock.

We've stayed here many times now and it never disappoints. The pristine view of trees and the reservoir will keep us coming back. Perfect for a quiet getaway with the family.

The location of the house is stunning. The inside is somewhat bleak, with only two chairs by the main fire. We brought chairs from the deck so all of us could sit by the fire. It was really cold outside and so we all wished to sit by the fire was vital. The main sitting area is focussed on the TV, and not on the stunning view outside, so not a pleasant area to sit and chat.
The kitchen has the equipment as stated, but the oven was filthy and many of the pots and pans also were dirty. The plates and mugs are of low quality.
The bed linen was crumpled and not ironed., though it did seem to have been laundered.
