About this house rental
Welcome to Rocking M Ranch Weddings, Events, and Lodging- the ultimate rustic indoor/outdoor venue! Plan your perfect wedding day or special occasion, or just a weekend getaway with family and friends in the country.
The lodge is a duplex-style structure with 2 full living spaces under one roof, separated by a spacious utility room with a 1/2 bath. With almost 3800 square feet total, there's plenty of space for you and your guests to spread out. Each living space has it's own entrance, porch, fully stocked kitchen, great room with wood-burning fireplace, and screened porch. All rentals are exclusive to one party only! We will never double-book rentals, so, if you stay with us, the place is yours alone for the duration of your stay.
Wedding and Event pricing is also separate. We are available for inquiries at five one two, four two zero, six seven five five. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions!
Kick back with family or friends and enjoy one night, or more, at this secluded, country paradise. Relax by the pool or fire up the BBQ smoker and get your cornhole game face on for some outdoor fun! The large, two-story ranch-plex is perfect for large groups with 5 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, and 14 beds. The downstairs features 2 master suites, one on each side of the lodge, each with a private bath. One of the master suites features 1 queen, and 1 twin bed, and a spacious bathroom with walk-in shower and 2 sinks. The second downstairs master has 1 queen, and 2 twin beds, private bath with walk-in shower, jacuzzi tub, and one sink. There is also a La-Z-Boy leather couch with a comfortable, blow-up, queen-sized mattress inside, for a total of 14 beds.
The upstairs opens to a game room and common area with pool/ping pong table, galley kitchen with sink, microwave, mini-fridge, and a wall-mounted large screen TV. A full bath with walk-in shower is adjacent to the game room. There are three upstairs bedrooms which include: (a) 1 queen, 2 twin beds, large screen TV; (b) 1 double, 2 twin beds with a walk-through closet to the full bath with shower (this bathroom also opens out to the common area); and (c) 1 queen, 1 twin bed, with a private bathroom and shower/tub combination. Bedroom (c) is semi-private from the other bedrooms with a connecting door, and has its own staircase.
Step outside the lodge to a spacious backyard and a little slice of heaven, complete with a canvas of stars at night and party lights over the pool and throughout the 1/4 acre venue. Surround yourself with nature and enjoy the sound of a trickling waterfall, in-ground pool, hot tub, fire pit, propane grill, picnic area, custom BBQ smoker, and large pond. Or, enjoy the old-style rockers and front porch swing while listening to the fountain at the new boat dock and pond.
While here, visit Round Top's world of antiquing, nearby wineries, or Formula One racing at the Circuit of the Americas (bypassing Austin traffic). Visit historic Smithville and Bastrop just down the road for shopping, movies, bowling, and restaurants. If hiking's your thing, take on the bike or walking trails along the Colorado River in nearby Buescher or Bastrop state parks. Known as the "megalopolis", Smithville is an easy drive from the major cities of Austin, San Antonio, Houston, and College Station.
The rental is ideal for a Round Top antiquing adventure (plenty of space to park large trucks or trailers), family reunions, wedding parties, golf/ getaway, club event, or just kicking back for a relaxing weekend. Smithville is the first film-friendly city in Texas, and home of the HOPE FLOATS film starring Sandra Bullock. While visiting Smithville, who knows who you will run into with film and music stars such as Shirley McLain, Jack Black, Elizabeth Olsen, and Ryan Bingham (who stayed at Rocking M Ranch while filming 'A Country Called Home').

We had nine adults ranging in age from twenty-five to ninety-one, one thirteen year old and a three year old. the facilities were great for all ages. Some swam, some played games and others just enjoyed the company and the view. All ate a lot and talked a lot.

The lodge was really nice. There were beautiful and cool art pieces everywhere that all loved. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. We had a great get together and Smithville is quaint and nice spot to visit.

This space was absolutely perfect for our event. The entire extended family of the Groom stayed at the house and loved it! Plenty of space to get dressed for a local wedding and we were able to host a small dinner. The space is beautiful, spacious and well maintained. The host was amazing and we couldn't have asked for a better place during a very stressful time.
