In Downtown Friday Harbor!
The Artist's Suite is a lovely, ground floor, studio suite. This unit is equipped with a queen bed, 3/4 bath with a walk-in shower, kitchenette and a sitting area. In the bedroom area you'll find a Smart TV for streaming services. This suite is furnished with everything you need, including a romantic propane fireplace. Sleeps 3 but is better suited for 2 people.
The Carter House is one of Friday Harbor's first important historic homes. Built in 1911, it was a wedding gift for a wealthy merchant's daughter. It has been beautifully restored. Located in historic downtown Friday Harbor, it is only 3 blocks from the ferry dock and Port of Friday Harbor.
The blocks surrounding the Artist's Suite offer many delicious restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, ice-cream shops and art galleries, all within walking distance. On Saturday mornings the local San Juan Island Farmer's Market is a 5 minute walk from the Artist's Suite!
A brand new mattress for the queen bed has been updated in this unit in January of 2021.
This Unit has great cell phone reception and Wi-fi. However, San Juan Island is a remote location, and it is good to keep in mind that intermittent, short, Wi-Fi disruptions are very normal for this area.
This Suite does not have Air Conditioning.

This house is perfectly located just a few blocks from the heart of Friday Harbor. We enjoyed the nearby shops and Saturday market.

Overall very nice. Stayed four days and requested a couple of extra towels etc. but no response. Could have done better.

Great location, good size, but the heater wouldn't turn off so we couldn't sleep well. Fans and open windows couldn't keeo up vs the heater. The pillows were also very stiff and uncomfortable.
