About this house rental
Beautiful, meticulously clean five bedroom home accommodates 3 or more families (sleeps up to 24) on lakeside property. New 24-foot pontoon INCLUDED with rental, 3-seat fishing boat with trolling motor, 2 kids kayaks, 2 adult kayaks and 2-seat paddle boat included in rental. Over 42 5-star reviews. New in 2023: Acorn Stairlift added to help elderly move from garage to main floor. Fire pit with chairs, 2 decks with picnic tables, steps to lakeside, and BBQ grill and Blackstone griddle make outdoor entertaining a breeze. Two fireplaces, living, dining and family rooms, plus extra TV room make indoor entertaining cozy and enjoyable. Board games, 4 TVs, cable, internet, and Wi-Fi included. Kitchen features 2 ovens, microwave & dishwasher. Extra refrigerator in attached garage. All linens provided - just bring beach towels. Fully functional kitchen is completely stocked with cooking & baking equipment - just bring your own groceries! Washer & dryer. New mattresses in 2023. The lake is a private lake with approximately 40 cottages/homes scattered around lake. Motor boats & jet skis permitted. We provide a beautiful pontoon that holds 12 people, a small fishing boat with trolling motor that seats 3, 2 kids' kayaks and 2 adult kayaks, and a paddle boat that seats 2 adults or 4 kids. Everyone will enjoy fishing off the dock and jumping into the beautiful lake off the pontoon. Kids of all sizes will enjoy the water mat. Across the lake is a natural sandy area where pontoons anchor to enjoy the sun and allow smaller children to swim in shallower water. Our home is a perfect spot for an extended family vacation. This is our family vacation home so we are constantly adding and updating for our own enjoyment and yours. Our house is cleaned between rentals by 2 ladies who own their own business. It is always spotless. In addition, the house is deep cleaned twice per year inside & out. We always supply enough towels and bed linens for your stay and provide extra towels and sheets, if needed. All linens (except beach towels) provided.
The kitchen is a full kitchen with two ovens, microwave, refrigerator (2nd refrigerator in garage), toaster, coffee maker, griddle, electric skillet, pots, pans, trays, cookie sheets, enough dishes to serve 24 people, dishwasher and 2 pantries. There is a large roaster over and 2 crockpots. In short, everything you need to prepare meals for your family. You just need to bring groceries. We can seat 10 adults at the dining room table and have an additional table that seats up to 8. We have two folding tables can be set up if needed. But you will probably decide to eat most of your meals on our back deck off the kitchen. The back deck has a BBQ grill and seating for 18. Our front deck has 4 outdoor couches, and a table that seats 4, great for enjoying your morning coffee, curling up for an afternoon nap or enjoying the lake view. We have a semi-finished garage with comfortable seating for 8 and a table along with a fold out table & chair set for cards or kids crafts.
We have 4 bedrooms with queen beds in each. Two of the queen bedrooms feature adjustable beds with anti-snore and anti-gravity buttons on the remote. Each bedroom has a closet and luggage stands. Our kids' bunkroom will be very popular with your kids. The bunkroom sleeps 10 kids in beds with room for a couple more in sleeping bags, if needed. Toys and books are stored under the bunks for your use. At the end of a busy day, turn on a movie for the kids in the bunkroom while the adults relax and play cards!
Additional sleeping: Sitting room attached to Master Bedroom has pullout sofa, loft on main level has pullout sofa and basement has a pullout sofa.
Our home is perfect for extended families looking to enjoy a summer family vacation with boating, swimming, fishing, and bonfires. We are a short drive away from the beaches of Lake Huron in Tawas and outlet shopping in West Branch. Book in the fall or winter at off-season rates and enjoy the fall color or winter sports. Take a ride on the Au Sable River Queen and take in the beautiful fall scenery or bring a group of ladies for a weekend of scrapbooking/crafting (3 or 4 night rentals available Oct-April). Bring your cross country skis & snowmobiles in winter to enjoy miles of groomed trails in nearby Tawas/Oscoda area (30-45 minute drive from our house) or enjoy ice-fishing and ice skating (we have multiple sizes on site) on our lake. Come enjoy a week on the lake with your family in our beautifully maintained home. The pontoon is included in weekly rental May-September. A 6-night minimum stay is required May-September. Shorter stays may be accomodated during the off-season.

Had a great vacation here for 17 family members age 3 to70! Loved all the boat options! Just 2 minor things to be aware of and are not complaints. Main shower floor is slippery and also ran out of hot water once...too many showers plus laundry going I guess. Still a great place for large group.

The property was well suited for a multi-family vacation. The pontoon boat we had access to was key in our stay! During a rainy night we took advantage of the garage where we played cards and watched sports while the kids played too. Also, nice proximity to a small downtown where we could get anything we may have missed in our packing.

This house is amazing. You need to only bring clothes and food. The host,Kelly is very attentive. One of the best VRBO we have stayed at. Will be returning for a third time.

Overall the trip was great and the host was responsive. It took over a day for the house to cool down so that was unfortunate but after that the temperature was better. The mention of mosquitos is definitely accurate, they are so bad at night and even before. The grass was long and should’ve been cut before we got there IMO so I don’t think that helped. The baby gates were amazing to have with all the toddlers we had. It was nice being in a house that the owners actually live in because it had all the things you needed that you don’t think about.
