About this cabin rental
Welcome to our home away from home. Our beautiful mountain retreat is exceptionally comfortable & inviting. Located on a quiet interior street with flat, south facing driveway in lower Tahoe Donner it is steps away from trailheads for hiking, biking & snowshoeing. A short drive to ski resorts and historic Old Town Truckee make this a desirable location!
After a long drive or a day of skiing you'll appreciate coming home to our smart, stylish, uncluttered, peaceful getaway. The attached garage, flat driveway and snowplow service make easy entry into the spacious floor plan with vaulted ceilings. The living room, dining room & kitchen have an open concept and share the first floor with two bedrooms, full bathroom and laundry room down the hall. For the cooks in the family, the kitchen has a gas stove and oven, stainless steel appliances, and is stocked with essentials. The upstairs loft has a futon for overflow sleeping, a foosball table for fun entertainment, and comfy seating. The master BR suite is located off the loft, has vaulted ceilings and seating area. For additional enjoyment, step down into our cozy media cave equipped with a large sectional and big screen TV, perfect for game and/or movie night. We have high-speed wireless Internet and two big screen Hi-def TVs (one in the LR and the other in the media room) with cable and Blu-Ray DVD's. We have nice comfy mattresses, couches and furnishing with a mix of eclectic pieces we’ve acquired along the way. We hope you enjoy your stay!
Guests have access to the Tahoe Donner amenities, including the Trout Creek Rec Center, with gym, hot tubs, and outdoor heated lap pool. (there is a fee charged per guest at the door, and you'll need the guest passes, provided). These amenities and the fees are subject to change.
Contact host to verify availability, pricing, and holiday rates. 5-night minimum during major holidays, otherwise 3-night minimum. Maximum of 6 guests comfortably (or 8 depending on your group - contact hosts for more info). Once booked, we will email you with more details, rules, and instructions that you will need to sign and return.

Use of our home is for your quiet enjoyment. If you're looking for a "party palace", we suggest you look elsewhere.
The driveway is plowed by a service, but there may be delays in the event of heavy snowstorms. Please follow opening and closing procedures during winter season.
We do have a strict no-pet policy for guests. No exceptions.
Note: the home can sleep up to 8 people, which includes 2 on the futon in the loft, but for everyone's comfort we recommend no more than 6 adults in your party. The home is not handicap accessible, with steps up into the house, as well as up to the second floor.
No pets, please. And definitely NO smoking.
Upon acceptance of your booking, you will be sent a separate rental agreement, describing house rules in more detail. You will need to return this signed agreement along including the names of all members of your party and a picture of your driver license.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful home in the Tahoe Donner community! From the moment we arrived, we were so impressed by how spacious (didn't even use two of the rooms), modern and cozy the home was. Every room was thoughtfully designed with comfort in mind, and we felt at ease the moment we stepped inside. The attention to detail and all the extra touches were so appreciated—from the convenient nightstand chargers to the pre-stocked food items in the kitchen, everything was set up to make our stay as smooth and enjoyable as possible. It truly felt like a home away from home.The homeowners were incredibly responsive and friendly, always available to answer any questions we had and ensuring we had everything we needed. Their hospitality went above and beyond, especially when they made sure the driveway was well-plowed day after day during our stay, which included a heavy snowfall of three feet! It was such a relief to have easy access to the home in such wintry conditions. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay—comfortable, well-appointed, and with hosts who clearly care about their guests. We can’t wait to return!

Very comfortable house with everything we needed. The kids loved the TV room and the foosball table, in particular.The host was very responsive.Quiet neighborhood. The house was in very good shape. We had no issues with the home. Nice but not too nice — a good balance for a ski house.We found the Tahoe Donner amenities to be very appealing. Being close to Truckee was an advantage.

We had a great visit and found the home to be extremely clean, well-stocked, with nice bedding and comfortable beds. It's in a great part of Tahoe Donner- close to trails and easy to get into Truckee. The owners were quick to respond to any questions I had.
It's on a quiet street- so if you are looking for a quiet retreat- this is it. I would highly recommend.

Our family spent a fantastic long weekend at Hans and Deena's home. From the moment we walked in we felt welcome. Hans had even turned on the heat! This made our arrival and unpacking so much more pleasant.The location was perfect as we we were back and forth to Alpine Meadows each day.Our favorite parts of the house were the foosball table and the tucked-away movie room. The kitchen was large and stocked which made it enjoyable for cooking at home. We could not have asked for a more enjoyable relaxing stay...and we'll definitely be back.
