About this house rental

Our newly remodeled home away from home is everything you need and more. Newly available to the short-term rental market in January 2015, all the furniture is brand new and super comfortable!

The house is located on a quiet, tree-lined residential street in a serene, peaceful setting with a huge tree-filled backyard. Walking distance from Sunset Boulevard where you’ll find the best restaurants in town along with coffee bars, unique shopping experiences, and local flavor. With views of the Silver Lake neighborhood off your private front deck, you'll feel like you're in LA, but still have the peace and tranquility of your own place. Lots of light, large open living area with dining room and bedroom.

Everything you could want in an upscale hotel and much more, the bungalow was specifically designed with discerning travelers in mind. Stylish, modern, peaceful and comfortable, the house is fully equipped from living space to kitchen to bed and bath. And it's listed and managed by the property owner, so no fears of being "caught" by the landlord.

The living room sectional pulls out to a comfy full-sized bed for guests. A new 40” flat screen TV is equipped with satellite service and hundreds of channels. No need to miss your favorite shows while you’re out of town; set them to record on your DVR, where you’ll also find plenty of movies stored for nights at home. Or flip over to Netflix or HBOGo and watch on demand to your heart’s content.

The newly updated kitchen includes an extra large fridge, dishwasher, stainless steel appliances, new microwave, toaster, coffee maker, blender, food processor, Calphalon cookware, and every other kitchen amenity known to man. All brand new as of January 2015.

The central heat and air conditioning system is brand new as of May, 2015 and you'll find it comes in VERY handy, especially during the summer months. The new system is also equipped with an air purification system, a welcome feature for those with pesky allergies.

As frequent travelers ourselves, we understand the importance of a good night’s sleep in an unfamiliar environment. The queen sized Mitchell Gold mattress is as comfortable as they come, and protected by a zippered cover against particles that can trigger allergic responses. Blackout shades provide plenty of excuses for sleeping in, and all bed linens are luxury, high thread count 100% cotton. You'll find two down-filled pillows and two down-alternative pillows on the bed, along with a fluffy down duvet. There's also an extra down duvet for guests, along with a down-alternative coverlet for those allergic to feathers or down.

The bathroom includes everything but your toothbrush -- a full-sized tub and shower with salon-quality shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, soap, lotion, and designer towels. And two thick, new terrycloth bathrobes as well.

The full sized washer and dryer are stocked with brand name laundry soap, fabric softener, and dryer sheets.

The best part? No one else's STUFF to contend with. The house is all yours -- you won't find anyone's bills piling up in the corner, or nasty shoes stacked in the closet. The house is 100% guest-focused, and designed to be your home away from home.

Walking distance to Sunset Junction - Experience what it’s like to live in the trendy, artistic neighborhood of Silver Lake, walking distance to dozens of restaurants, Sunset Junction, the Silver Lake Farmer’s Market, and the famous Silver Lake Reservoir. Bike ride or short car ride away from movie theaters and several grocery stores. And more coffee and lunch spots than you'll have time to explore, no matter how long you're here.

Itching for a celeb sighting? Check out the Hollywood Farmer's Market on Sunday mornings, or take a stroll around the world-famous Grove shopping area.

Centrally located - Only a 10 minute drive to Hollywood, downtown LA, LA Live, Staples Center, Disney Hall, Universal Citywalk, Dodger Stadium, the Grove, and Griffith Park. Beverly Hills is about 20 minutes & Disneyland is about 40 minutes away. Beaches are a quick 30 minute drive via freeways with the 101, 5, and 10 freeways easily accessed.

Silver Lake contains some of the most famous modernist architecture in North America. Known as the Greenwich Village of the west, Silver Lake offers unique boutiques and restaurants, a beautiful reservoir (with running path and dog park), and a Tuesday and Saturday farmers market. It is the center of the indie rock scene of LA and is an eclectic neighborhood attracting creative people, artists, musicians, and environmentally conscious businesses.

Loved my stay at Stacey's property. Very private and quiet, yet walking distance to so many great restaurants and shops. Also super easy access to the 101 if venturing outside of Silver Lake, and no problems with finding street parking either. All in all a wonderful stay and I am looking forward to coming back sometime!

We needed a lovely place for a high profile client to stay that is close to our working location just outside of downtown LA and this place was exactly what we and our client was looking for. Not too far from a lot of great hiking spots. The place even has a nice and quiet area in the back to enjoy a cup of coffee and quiet contemplation in nature. Stacey was an absolute pleasure. Highly recommend!

Stacey was great to work with. She ensured we had a very easy check in by providing every detail we needed electronically prior to arrival. She was very interested in ensuring things were going well for us by messaging us when we arrived, and she was easy to contact in the event we needed assistance. The house has everything you could want. The welcome basket was so lovely to find when we arrived. It was very clean. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is related to a few issues that we encountered. We had to drive the streets searching for parking 5 out of 7 nights and ended up parking up a super steep street around the corner most times. There is a two car garage on site and a driveway, but you are not allowed to use them. Our experience was that if we got home after 8 PM we were out of luck for parking. Also, we found the bed was a tad short and sloped toward the head so it wasn't very comfy. The couch, however was fine to sleep on. We did lose power on the morning we left, which a search of Twitter identified as a fairly common occurrence in Silver Lake. It was out for hours, so if you're like me and you need the use of a blow dryer before you leave home, you could find yourself looking like a frightful mess if the power goes out. The dishwasher worked but we noted a burning smell, so we used it only once and washed dishes by hand the rest of the week. The clothes washer and dryer were very good though and we certainly appreciated having use of them. As for the Silver Lake area, I felt it was safe enough. We went out one evening looking for some night life (by car) and found everything closed by 9 or 10. We didn't really take a thorough walk around the neighbourhood, so we likely missed stuff, but we didn't really find anything while driving the area. We did a lot of sight seeing in LA, but Silver Lake wasn't really part of that. It was a good home base for us, however we did need a car to see LA. I found there were too many cars and not enough places to park them, though this was not isolated to Silver Lake.
