About this apartment rental
Location.
The apartment is 60 meters from the Ponte Vecchio or Old Bridge, one of the most famous Florentine landmarks, and looks directly onto the river Arno. On the opposite bank of the river is the Uffizi museum complex and the famous Vasari Corridor, which connects the Palazzo Vecchio to the Uffizi and across the Ponte Vecchio to the Pitti Palace.
Across the road is a perfectly furnished small supermarket and all around there are excellent restaurants, cafés, wine bars, fashion shops and artisans’ workshops. With just a few minutes’ walk, you can reach all the principal monuments and museums, including the Uffizi museum; the Palazzo Pitti museums and the Boboli gardens; the Piazza della Signoria with the magnificent Palazzo Vecchio as well as the Duomo or Cathedral. You can also stroll along the riverbanks admiring the city and the surrounding hills.
About the apartment.
The 'Ponte Vecchio relax' apartment is on the 2nd floor of a recently fully refurbished building with all the windows overlooking the river Arno. It has two rooms plus a spacious bathroom for a total area of approximately 400 sq. ft.
As all the windows look onto the river and none face the street, the apartment is extremely silent even when the windows are left open. It is served by a newly installed elevator and each room has central heating and air conditioning. Furthermore the floor is entirely in oak parquet except for the bathroom where the use of tiles has been preferred.
When you enter the apartment there is a small hall and to the left you access the ample bedroom with a king size double bed. From the centre of the hall you enter the large bathroom equipped with a shower and where you will also find the washing machine. On the opposite side of the hall from the bedroom you find the living room with an equipped kitchen that can be closed out of sight when not used. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave oven; an under counter refrigerator; a dishwasher and a two fire induction hob. A toaster and coffee pot are also present. In the living room the comfortable sofa can be opened up to reveal a sofa double bed.

This place is so special! The view out of every window is amazing! It’s very well furnished with a compact but workable kitchen, perfect for small meals & snacks. Comfortable bed & bathroom, nice quality linens. High ceilings, just perfect for 2 people! Very secure building. Views of the Arno, the hills, the Ponte Vecchio & the Uffizi & Florence. Great grocery store across the street, best Gelato & a great sandwich shop. Wonderful places to eat right beyond your doorstep. Amazing bakery down the street, past a great wine store. Close walk to Santa Spirito Square, great place to hang & a beautiful basilica. Close to Pitti Palace and Bardini Gardens. The hosts are absolutely wonderful, they respond very quickly to any questions and offer great suggestions. We also made a wonderful new friend, Migi, the owners Mother in Law next door. Meeting Migi was one our favorite parts of experiencing Florence for a month in this great apartment!

We loved it! Clean and spacious, windows in each room open to the Arno River below and views. We could see the Ponte Vecchio and could hear the music/band and singers until 10pm. Lovely! Easy walk to everything we hoped to see (Piazzale Michelangelo, Uffizi, Duomo and Baptistery, shopping, train station) but will have to come back and stay again to see more. Benedetta and Migy were so good to us in every way. We will come back and send friends in the meantime. Thank you!

Our stay here was perfect in every way from the lovely reception we received to the location of the apartment. It is very well equipped, beautifully located on the river with totally unobstructed views of the Arno and the Ponte Vecchio. We had a fabulous stay here and give Bernadetta and her family TEN STARS!!! And our gratitude for making our time in Firenze so wonderful.

Apartment was well furnished in a great location but the air conditioning did not work. With temperatures exceeding 32 C, it was very hard to sleep even with the windows open. However, the mosquitoes feasted on us as my wife and I had more than 5 bites each. Owner should have AC checked well before it heats up for summer, such as late April or early May!!!
