Set on an expansive 10 acres of forest, creek and wetlands, Cockle Bay House is the perfect escape for families and friends seeking a private, luxury getaway.
Located in New South Wales’ Central Coast just 90 minutes drive from Sydney CBD, the property can fit 20 guests comfortably and includes a indoor pool, tennis court, firepit and many entertaining areas for guests. Guests can expect premium living, with each bedroom featuring its own private ensuite.

Indoor fireplace
Outdoor fireplace with seating
6 bedrooms each with ensuite bathroom
Large freeform netted enclosed pool
The property is only a short drive to Terrigal, Avoca, Killcare, Mcmasters and Copacabana beaches and restaurants. With a Golf driving range and horse riding only 1 km away and various national park walking trails around 4km away.
Note: we do not allow parties on the property. If we find guests in violation of these rules, fines will be incurred. No pets allowed.
Also in the month of December we have a 5 night minimal stay.

Rooms were generous size, great central heating system, clean linens and towels. Every room has an ensuite which was appreciated. Great space to fit an extended family with privacy. Lovely wood fireplace inside and makedo pit outside (couldn’t find the one on the river). Tennis court was a hit with kids for both tennis and scooting. Lost a star because of the cleanliness - there was mould in tile grout in bathrooms, mould/flaking bathroom ceilings, dust on many surfaces, all fans were dirty, gross oven, old pans flaking non-stick coating, gross stovetop fan, rusty BBQ unusable. Some dirty crockery. Dishwasher failed whilst there and a leaky bathroom dripped into lounge room. Kitchen utensils had an oversupply of tongs and undersupply of a single wooden spoon. General garden tidy up, clean gutters, and blow balconies required.

Our stay was absolutely incredible—everything you could dream of in a holiday escape. The backyard opens to a beautiful flowing creek, there’s a full-size tennis court, and the resort-style swimming pool made every day feel luxurious. It was hands down one of the most relaxing holidays we’ve ever had. The host was exceptionally warm and easy to communicate with, which made everything smooth and stress-free. It’s hard to believe a place like this exists just an hour from Sydney!

Great location with private block, large house with ensuites to all bedrooms and plenty of living areas. Nice big kitchen and 2 fridges. Enjoyed using the pool and tennis court. However the property is getting a little old and tired and in need of maintenance here and there.
