About this house rental
Welcome to Tahoe House 1555. We also own the house next door (1535 Tahoe Park Ave) so if you have a larger group and would like to have two houses next door to each other please let us know. Renting both houses is only allowed for multiple families not large groups of friends. You can also search for Tahoe House 1535 for more information.
Situated in a friendly neighborhood on the lakeside of the highway, with easy access in winter. Only a 5 minute walk to Lake Tahoe, Sunnyside Bar, local markets, ski shuttle & bus service. Ideal location for both summer & winter activities, 2 miles from Tahoe City and close to ski areas, hiking & biking trails, shops and restaurants.
A bright open floor plan, with 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms, accommodates 6-8 people. The large sunny deck is equipped with BBQ, patio furniture & the back yard has a private hot tub.
The furnishings, HDTVs, Roku, YouTubeTV, Sonos whole-house audio, and Airplay-ready audio offer the comforts of home away from home. The house is also completely Alexa-enabled so you can use voice to operate the virtual concierge as well as the smart home system. The house also includes high-speed internet access and wifi. Children are welcome and the inclusion of a port-a-crib and booster seat, plus plenty of toys & games, make it a very child friendly vacation rental.
The property includes access to the Tahoe Park private beach with 2 piers, BBQs, picnic tables, volleyball, basketball, horseshoes, lawn and playground for children.

We recently stayed at this Tahoe City property and had a wonderful time enjoying the amenities, though the house itself has a few areas that could use attention. The absolute highlight of our trip was the fantastic location and the access to the private beach, and we loved having plenty of beach chairs provided for our use. Communication with the host was excellent, and the check-in process was a breeze. We also really enjoyed the large, fully equipped kitchen that had everything needed to cook, as well as the nice outdoor deck with a BBQ for outdoor dining. The hot tub was another great feature, though it’s worth noting that it is in a bit of an awkward spot since you have to access it through one of the bedrooms.However, there were a few downsides to the property. The interior furnishings and bedding are due for an update, the bedrooms are quite dark, and the beds themselves were very uncomfortable. The layout is also a bit unusual, as the primary bedroom is the bunk room, meaning the kids ended up with the private bathroom. Overall, you absolutely cannot beat the location and beach access, but a few interior upgrades would truly take this rental to the next level. Because of the location, we would consider staying at this property again.

The host supplied great information about the house and Sunnyside which was very helpful. The house was lovely. Great location… walk to the Lake and enjoy Sunnyside.
