The Stables

Everything about this property is excellent. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The bedroom is spacious and the bed is very comfortable and storage is plentiful. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and towels super soft and fluffy. Fresh eggs left on the dining table and milk in the fridge was a nice little welcome on arrival. The Stables are in a perfect location for everywhere you choose to visit in the Peaks. We came on a cycling holiday for our 3rd visit here as the High Peak Trail is a 5 minutes off road ride away. . There is bike storage on site too. Irene and Thomas are so welcoming and did everything possible to make our stay perfect. We will definitely be booking again for next year.

There's nothing about this property that we don't like.

In the middle of nowhere, more animals than people so my sort of place! Goats, horse and donkeys were gorgeous 😍. Views for miles and properly away from main roads. Cottage was lovely, everything you need. Would definitely come back!

Leaving!!

Really well done barn conversion which was very cozy and fitted out very nicely. plenty of room. Nice to have the donkeys and goats around in the fields as added to the farm atmosphere and can go and feed them if you like. The children from Families in the other two separate barn conversations certainly loved it. Very peaceful area and we were never disturbed by anything going on outside. Beautiful surrounding countryside. In a great location to allow daily trips out to see all the local sites of interest such as Chatsworth House, Bakewell, Heights of Abraham and many more.

Mattress was a bit bouncy for us but overall still a cozy and comfortable place to be in.
