Sue and Glen were wonderful hosts, super friendly and accommodating. The Condo was very nice and had everything we needed. The view from the balcony was beautiful!

Overall the location is pretty much the best feature besides the lanai which was located on the side of the unit in which you were able to view the beach. Great value for what you get. We probably would of had a response from the owner for any of the listed concerns but we managed to deal with it and adjust. In the bedroom I shared with my daughter, I found a roach motel under my bed along with some bodies of expired insects. There were plugins in the rooms, I'm assuming to keep other bugs at bay within the unit. I lived in Louisiana for 6 yrs so I understand warmer climate equals more living insects. My daughter and I stayed in the guest room with 2 beds with a ceiling fan that worked consistently but often would make a loud clunking noise I'm thinking the screws need to be tightened or a new fan would be nice. Our bathroom in our bedroom was only a shower and had hot water, my son who had the Master suite had a tub and shower but the water did not seem to heat up (luke warm at best)so we had my 6 year old grandson using the shower in our bathroom each evening. You need to also be aware that in order to open the drawer in the kitchen with knives for cutting vegetables, the refrigerator has to be open. If you're planning on putting dry foods in the cupboard for storage, you will probably have to move some things. There is an overabundance of dishes and glasses for a very large family. The unit is fine but I would definitely make updates and put new grout around the outside of the showers or work on deep cleaning. The air vents are all dusty and need a good cleaning as well since it the source of the air conditioner and you are breathing it in. The air conditioner works great. The unit is located on the fifth floor (seven floors altogether) and there are 6 units I believe on each floor. There is only 1 elevator and during our stay, it was hard to get it sometimes and so we took the stairs a lot. Usually early morning and lunch time and after 8pm the elevator wasn't busy. It is quite nice to be so close to the beach and the owners do provide beach towels and little chairs to sit in the water and some flotation devices. There was plenty of towels for use and blankets as well. I've been coming to Siesta Beach area for 10 years or more and stay each time by the beach, always look for the 5 stars. They have recently had some good reviews, not as much detail but I just thought people who are renting need to know.
