About this cabin rental
This gorgeous road access lakefront / beachfront cottage is located on beautiful Lake of the Woods in the highly sought after area of Keewatin Beach Road, just a few minutes west of Kenora. This 1268 sq ft, 3 bedroom bungalow style cottage with walkout basement , sand beach, dock and adjacent boat launch features the best of both worlds offering you a lasting and memorable vacation at one of Canada's premier lake destinations while providing the amenities and comforts of home.
The main floor features 2 bedrooms with new laminate flooring, 4 piece washroom, living room with hard wood flooring, big screen tv with cable, dvd player and Wi-Fi, kitchen with fridge, stove, dishwasher and microwave, along with a large separate dining room overlooking the water. There is a large walk in pantry off the kitchen with a deep freezer, and 2nd refrigerator, and extra storage.
There is also a deck off the dining room with bbq and patio set. Located in the walkout basement is the rec room/games area featuring a full sized ping pong table, a foosball table, air hockey table, stereo, darts, sitting area. The lower level also has the 3rd bedroom, a second washroom with shower, along with washer and dryer and an additional drink cooler.
There is an outdoor screen room attached to the walkout basement. All three bedrooms feature double sized bunk beds (up to 4 people per bedroom) and there are 3 new leather sofa beds in the living room.
Located at the waterfront is a gorgeous sand beach perfect for little children and adults alike. Beside the beach is a second deck with bbq and patio set so that you can barbeque right at the beach! Also located at the beach is a fire pit for those evening campfires and roasting marshmallows! There is also a large dock to park any boats/seadoo’s you may wish to bring as well and an adjacent boat launch. In addition to the swimming and sand beach, other outdoor activities include the free use of a paddle boat, canoe, horseshoe pits, badminton, volleyball net and ball, and a trampoline! The cabin is fully furnished with all necessary kitchen cooking utensils, dishes, and linens to make your stay as relaxing and comfortable as possible.

Was a great vacation for our family of 9, house was clean and tidy with lots of space. Nice relaxing location, fishing was great. Weather was beautiful . Kids enjoyed every moment from lake life, fishing from the dock, to inside games , paddle boat, beach toys, kayaks. Nice to be walking distance to local grocery store, that had a great variety of goods. If there were any question or concerns hosts, John and Lana were just a phone call away.

Lots of room for family to stay and plenty to do both in the home and out. A beautiful little beach and fire put area, right on the water! Fishing guides can pick you up right on your dock!

When we arrived we were met at the location by the owner and provided a tour. We then spent 3 days cleaning as it was not clean, cleaning responsibilities are placed on the guests. We feel this wasn’t cleaned or cleaned well prior to our arrival. We dealt with MANY spiders, an individual with us was bit by two different spiders during our stay, we are from Minnesota, we are use to spiders, but we dealt with many during our stay, we also dealt with ants like crazy. Certain spots of the home, we didn’t use such as the screened in porch, due to excessive amounts of mouse traps and we had 4 children with. The rest of the home had ant traps all over so that was challenging keeping them away from children. We are still pulling splinters out of our 1.5 years old hands due to all the wooden railings, and stairs outside- could use some upkeep. We also had one stair step at the top portion of the stairs rotting- we did communicate this to the owner, as well as a wasp nest. The property in the VRBO pictures, were older pictures as the beach was overgrown with thistles, and the beach is a lot smaller now and in person then what was in the photos we had seen and thought we were getting. We did use the kayaks which made for a fun addition for our 9 and 13 year olds. The main area couches were falling apart, and had holes. For the dock, there is no electricity. The baby gate was able to be unlocked and opened by the baby due to the railings.
