About this cabin rental

(For promotion info go to last paragraph of this description)

Beautiful home with a fantastic view overlooking Lake Wenatchee (we are across the street from the lake, perched above the treeline all things equal), next to Lake Wenatchee State Park and its stunning beach. The property features a hot tub, large flat screen, expansive deck with grill and outdoor seating around a table, attractively and comfortably furnished, newer bedding, freshly remodeled in 2018-2019 (paint, flooring, added square footage, etc.) My guests love this property!

The house itself is laid out very well. The pictures speak for themselves. This is essentially a five bedroom home, 2 bedrooms upstairs and two downstairs with an accessory room that has two bunk beds (four twin beds) in it. We converted a downstairs living area into a space that has two built in beds (Queen and twin, works great for a couple with a youngster), foosball table, dartboard, large flat screen tv). Obviously we are trying to accommodate as many guests as possible and this is one of the few properties in Leavenworth that can hold 10.

There are two bathrooms, one up and one down. We have a great kitchen space that has most items you'd expect to find in the average home. The property has a beautiful, gas pot belly stove in the living room for cozy fires on chilly nights.

The views from the living room are perfection, trees, lake, mountains and sunsets. We have high speed internet and a Roku Smart TV so don't forget your Netflix, Hulu (Hulu is identical to basic cable) or Amazon Prime membership (YouTube is free with commercials and also carries quite a few free movies). This truly is one of my favorite areas in Washington. We encourage you to try both the state park which is just around the corner and the Hidden Lake hiking trail that is at the end of Cedar Brae road.

Please be sure to reach out to us prior to your stay to get the door code which we change at will.

Great neighborhood filled with weekend homes, full time residents and other vacation rental properties. Wooded, water views, rustic, gorgeous and ready to be played in.

New county regulations for vacation rentals include:

Noise restrictions - 75 dbs daytime, quiet time after 10 pm.
Housing cap restrictions - 2 people per bedroom plus 2
Vehicle restrictions - 1 car per bedroom plus 1 (In the winter due to snow removal restrictions we can only hold 3-4 vehicles)
Etc.

It's pretty easy to keep the county happy we just have to be a tad more cognizant. :)

Side notes: We charge a lower base rate and then extra guest fees so we don't have to merely have one much higher rate. Smaller parties use less supplies, provide less wear and tear and create quicker cleans for our cleaners. In an effort to be able to cater to smaller parties we have structured our pricing this way and we've been doing our pricing this way since 2007. We really just want to be clear on this.

Important: This is a winter "adventure" cabin. We say this because this property is up a 150-200 yard driveway on a 20+ degree grade that gets very icy in the winter (it's fine in the late spring, summer and fall of course). Most vehicles being driven by the average winter driver do not do well attempting to get up the hill and do even worse trying to get down the hill. As a result we just spent $40,000 building a massive covered staircase from the lower parking area to the upper driveway and the cabin itself (please see pics of the new steps). As a result, voila, the stairs. This keeps our guests safe and the cars safe and keeps things low maintenance for us, but at quite an upfront cost and well worth it. Be prepared to park below and walk up and down. I've timed the walk up. It takes less than 2 minutes. If you walk the steps two at a time it's only 37 steps. :)

Taking that into consideration, pack in backpacks if you are able to, be cognizant of your guest list. Those steps can be difficult for the elderly and the infirm, please exercise foresight when booking this property in the winter if you are planning on bringing anyone who cannot go up and down the stairs as many times as they would need to - to come and go and see the sights and so forth. Also be ready to move your rig when the plow man comes to plow the lower parking area. :)

Typically guests will be parking down at the bottom and walking up from around December 1 to mid to late April. (We have early winters and late springs here so this can vary)

Once you get up to that cabin and see that view you will be so happy you booked this property in the winter, it's stunning. It's even prettier sometimes in the wintertime.

During the winter we highly suggest that guests bring a four wheel drive vehicle with snow tires (or at least have chains in the trunk) . You will not be able to navigate Leavenworth or our driveway without these essentials. It can easily snow a foot or two overnight and our plow guy sometimes doesn't get to the house until the afternoon or evening. This could put you in a bad spot on check out day. Even a four wheel drive with one or two year old tires can get you stuck (I've been there!).

The lower parking area holds about three cars. The driveway has two houses on it, mine and my neighbors, neighbors simply need to be able to get in and out of the driveway so cars need to be tucked in to our parking space so that they can do that.

As a final note, the county restricts this house to a max of 10 persons (to include babies), 2 pets and four to five cars (but we again can only fit about 3 in the winter). All persons and guests must be made known to us at the time of booking. Bringing more people than is allowed by the county can cost us our license to operate so we simply ask you cooperate with us in this matter. It's really appreciated as this is our main livelihood.

We have updated our cancellation policy as of April 23rd, 2025 for all bookings moving forward to offer a full refund if cancelled 60 days prior to arrival. Cancellations are really difficult to process and in most cases we are not able to get a property rebooked if someone cancels close enough to the date of their stay. Most people book a year or six months in advance. We hold those reservations for you in good faith, we love it when our guests do the same but we also understand that things can happen. We also suggest that guests look into VACATION RENTAL TRAVEL INSURANCE. There are 3 ways to get to Leavenworth, Highway 90 (Blewett pass or via the Gorge), Highway 2 and via the Wenatchee Airport. In 17 years of doing this I've never seen both passes closed at the same time. Please do check the pass report before driving out.

** PROMOTION: For off peak "stay's only" Book Friday and Saturday and add one day free when available. Book a non weekend i.e. Monday-Tuesday and add one non weekend day for free when available. Typically not available for holiday weekends or Leavenworth event weekends (Christmas Lighting, film festival, etc.) or busy summertime or wintertime (ski season, winter break) periods. For new bookings only, offer not retroactive for past bookings and free night is always at owner discretion. Must be requested at time of booking (this promotion is an on again and off again type of thing, we use this promotion to aid us in booking the slow periods). You'd book two days and I'd add the third day manually, if and when available. Adding the free night must still be available for me to be able to add it.
House sleeps 10 which includes children and babies.

The view is amazing, the location is quiet but the house itself is not managed professionally.-The most of the flat surfaces were dusty -the toilet is loose-The kitchen faucet is loose(we had to use both hands to open it)-the towels are stained-nonstick pans and pots are extremely scratched-some small appliances looks like they were bought 20 years ago from thrift store.-the main door strike plate was missing so we couldn’t close the door from outside -the basement bathroom was extremely cold, we had to move the portable heater from bedroom in order to heat it up.Everyone from our group said that they won’t comeback.
