About this villa rental
Located on the lower slopes of Mount Nevis, the property benefits from great views yet only 5 minutes from the beach. The villa is located in arguably one of the best private gardens on the island. Lush tropical plants, palm trees and fruit trees with spectacular views 180 degrees across the Caribbean sea and St Kitts.
Extensive accommodation includes on the upper level 3 large bedrooms (2 king and 1 twin) all ensuite with the master bathroom having both indoor shower, outdoor shower and roll top bath with picturesque views of the garden. . The large Great Room features a very well stocked kitchen (redesigned in 2020) and extensive seating area with entertainment centre inc Smart TV. To the rear of the property is a screened verandah with seating area where one can relax overlooking the gardens and rain forest and watch the monkeys or hummingbirds!
The best feature of the property is the large screened front verandah with a seating area and dining table which can, if required, seat up to 10 adults. It offers spectacular views of the pool, additional decking, garden and the Caribbean sea across to St Kitts.
On the lower level the owners have built an air conditioned family games room which extends the width of the property. This features pool table and a relaxed seating area where the settees also convert to double beds capable of sleeping an additional 1-2 adults. Adjoining this room is a large ensuite wet room and wc ideal for washing off the sand after a day at the beach.
Hummingbird House is situated in a very small development with no passing traffic. The neighbours are friendly and local professionals.
Perhaps the most stunning feature of Hummingbird House are the beautiful gardens and views which extend both over to St Kitts and Mount Nevis. The large decking provides an ideal area to relax and enjoy a morning coffee, light lunch or evening cocktails, whilst the outdoor dining pavilion comfortably seats 12 guests.
The nearest beach is only a 5 minute drive away, accessed via either Jessups or Barnes Ghaut villages, whilst supermarkets, Charlestown and airport are only a 10 minute drive away.

I must say this home is beautiful. The gardens, the pool, added gaming fun room for all and most of the home furnishings one would need to be comfortable. Patterson, the property manager, was a pleasure to speak and get along with. The owner Richard provided thorough details of property and Nevis and was open to accept our own vendors for car hire, taxi and water transportation even though he was well connected and offered recommendations. My family had a wonderful time and hope to return to Hummingbird House Luxury Villa soon.

We loved the house, the location, and above all the exceptional service. Richard made the entire planning process effortless. From coordinating travel to offering fantastic recommendations, he thought of everything. We’ve visited many islands throughout the Caribbean, and this experience was truly the best. Patterson, the property manager, was always available and genuinely eager to help with anything we needed throughout the week. Highly recommend Hummingbird Villa.

Our stay at Hummingbird House was a wonderful winter warm up. We had excellent service from the house manager, Patterson, who met us at check in, gave recommendations and organized reservations for us. Also highly recommended is the private chef Mark Roberts who can deliver delicious meals. Highly recommended and will return!

Every positive review this property gets really does not do justice in regards to how amazing Richard and Claire are as property owners and how amazing the Hummingbird is to stay at. Even prior to arriving, Richard and Claire made sure that every little thing was thought through from outings to car rentals. I highly recommend leveraging a day in the sailboat with Miles. He is an amazing captain and takes you to areas of the island only accessible by boat to snorkel.
We brought our 5yr and 10yr old and they loved it at the house. Between the pool and the games room, there was always something to do. The foliage on the property is beautiful and we loved the monkeys playing in our yard in a daily basis.
Don't forget to swing by the Double Duece for at least one meal during your stay. The owners are great and Thursday night karaoke is a blast.
I really could go on and on but I would highly recommend this property for any future Nevis trips because I know that we definitely will.
