La Vista-Spanish Hideaway (STR25-000083) is a canal home rental in Jamaica Beach.

Living room upstairs has a queen sleeper sofa. Also includes pack-n-play and highchair.

Downstair Rooms: 2 twins with attached bathroom, shower and bar area along with washer and dryer

Its location on a large part of the canal gives easy access to the bay and beautiful views from the swing, hammock or downstairs bar.

Fish in the overhead fishing lights, take a ride on the 2 person kayak, and go biking throughout the neighborhood to the park or to the beach on one of the bikes provided for your enjoyment. Neighborhood pool now open for use. Last season cost was @ $5/person over 6 yrs old or $25/person for entire season (must check with pool for current rates). Pool located next to the playground and basketball courts. Effective June 17, 2020, the neighborhood has a boat launch area that requires a permit and fee for use. The permit can only be obtained during business hours Monday-Thursday by the owners, so please advise in advance if you need us to collect a permit for you to use the boat docking area.

This place was great but I do have a couple of issues with management. First off, the trash was piled up in one outdoor garbage can, the internet never worked,(even after trying to reset as advised by the management) and we were instructed to wash a load of towels before we left but there was no laundry soap available. I didn't bring any on the trip as were there for fishing excursions not laundry. Other than that, the location and accessibility and accommodations were more than adequate.

Overall it was ok but the house needs work done. Worst part was the roaches, at least 2 a day were found. One bedroom door and front door do not fully close, bedroom floor is messed up. Seen in pictures there was a green light, was told there was not one, there is in fact one so makes me wonder if these people actually ever go to this house. The downstairs room A/C will go out.

My friends and family had a great time here. Beds and couches were comfortable. Plenty of space to hang out, the downstairs bar was great for night relaxing. Would recommend to anyone.Plenty of parking easily fit 5 vehicles.

Fishing and crabbing from dock was good, and communication with owner was quick and easy. It should be noted that there are NOT green lights in the water at this particular house, just some at other houses along the canal. Be sure to check the refrigerator setting - we didn't notice it was on coldest, and had to throw out frozen eggs. And don't count on comfortable beds downstairs - we finally had to rent a hotel room for the third night of our stay due to lack of sleep. But overall nice place and location.

This property was perfect for our friends get-together. Great hangout spot downstairs at the bar with nice rooms for sleeping. It had everything we needed to enjoy the outdoors of the Texas Gulf Coast.

We had all the space needed to have an enjoyable stay. The property is as shown in the listing. The host was very accommodating and answered any questions promptly. Unfortunately, the fish didn’t cooperate, but the crabs did. We’ll get them next time.

The property is very clean, we had everything we could need, and it was located very close to the beach. Was only a 2 minute drive to the beach access point. We loved being able to take the kayak out in the mornings, and sit out on the deck with a cup of coffee. Overall we had an awesome stay as a family. Only thing I’d suggest is more grilling utensils and sharpening of knives but everything was still usable.

We were hesitant to spend so much on a place we would only be at to only sleep at. We arrived on Friday evening from Dallas, and then had an all day fishing excursion planned. After we checked in, no one wanted to leave! We felt so comfortable in the house and loved the downstairs bar and fishing spot that we cancelled our dinner reservations Saturday. I have already recommended the house to several friends.

Very welcoming and set up for people to have a good time. Great for families. We didn't use the downstairs bedroom, but used the 3rd bathroom it provided when we had 6 people trying to shower after the beach at the same time. The setup inside and out invites you to just relax and have a good time. It was a great layout for us to stay with my son, his wife and two kids, plus had plenty of room to host the rest of the family for a meal and afternoon of games when it was our turn. (This was part of an annual extended family beach week, so we were spread out between houses.) It's an easy and very short drive to the beach, and easy trip into the Strand, Seawall or other locations on the Island. My daughter-in-law was on the fence between staying canalside or beachside, but I think this home may have swayed her to canalside as the water is right there when you wake up and go to bed. It's very peaceful. Plus, we enjoyed watching boats come and go on the canal. Our grandkids had a great time experiencing crabbing for the first time in the canal.

We loved the house!!!! It really was a great stay, we stayed for 10 night and loved every one. Had small issue and the caretaker was there within an hour and resolved the issue!! We will definitely try to stay there again!! 10 stars!

Overall, great. Beach toys for the kids. Kayak was fun. Great location, towards the back of the neighborhood. Did not use the bar, but definitely would have if there were more adults. Used the community park 2 out of 4 days. Not complaining, but, if there are future upgrades shade for the upstairs deck and an outlet for a speaker. Would definitely book again!!!

The good: The location is amazing. We loved the canal and the proximity to the beach. It was nice to be able to fish and use the kayak and bicycles at the facility. We really loved all of that and the weather was nice and we enjoyed our stay. The not so good: We did not have anyone stay in the downstairs area as the cockroaches scared our teenage girls. It would have been nice to know there was a Keurig so we would have brought the cups as the traditional coffee maker did not work. We also did not bring soap or dish soap as we thought it might be there and had to go buy some. None of these are terrible things, but it would have been nice to know ahead of time. Everything was smooth and we really enjoyed it all!

This Jamaica Beach house was the perfect getaway to celebrate my buddy getting married. We spent most of our time sitting at the outdoor bar and taking in the beautiful views. The amenities are everything you need and more. As an added value, a food mart, cantina, and pizzeria are conveniently close by. A+++

My family and I got together at this beautiful home for a weekend of relaxation. This home is better than we expected!! We planned on having a beach day but the home is right on the water so we stayed all weekend enjoying the water and the outdoor kitchen! The outdoor restroom is perfect so no one has to go upstairs. House was stocked with pots, pans, plates and large enough to accommodate our Family Thanksgiving. Large kitchen, spacious living room and two levels of deck space allowed comfortable seating for the holiday dinner and conversations afterwards. Good location for fishing as well throughout the week.

Down stairs bedrooms and bar had roaches everywhere I understand it's right by the water, but 🕷 webs in the bathroom, shower curtains broke, the microwave is jammed against the refrigerator, broken furniture on the patio, I really would like .I reported all these things to the owner, wasn't offered a discount. However they need too do some upgrades .poor lighting in the front. over we enjoyed our trip.

Overall the stay was good. There aren’t enough towels so we had to go buy towels. There was a horrible smell in the house. I had to go buy air freshener to try to cover the mildew smell.
