"Hillside Hideaway" is located directly above the Hillside Party Store in Munising, MI. Fully renovated & updated- the space brings in massive amounts of natural light; with amazing sunrises over the bay.
Located directly off TRAIL 422, the rental has great access to both the trail system and Munising Bay; directly across the road from the public boat launch. In winter, the public launch is the perfect place to get onto the ice! Hillside Party Store sells both 87 and 91 ethanol free fuel. The areas coldest and largest BEER CAVE is downstairs! Convenient, Quiet, and Owner Operated (no agents, and staff is on site 7 days per week ready to assist you)!
The furnishings are new, with the 3rd smaller bedroom having a bunk bed and reading nook. The seating has been designed and arranged for several social spaces to allow people to find their own spot to chat.
Hillside Party Store is open 7 days per week. The apartment is well separated from the store with separate entry and a private patio. Friendly staff are available during hours to answer any questions you may have about the area, too.

I missed the part about being above a gas station/party center in the description and we were a little disappointed by that but it really turned out to be a non-issue. It is a great location in Munising to get around to all of the sites and also to walk dogs if you bring them along. The house is clean, new and well set up. The hot water heater stopped working the night before we left. We were offered to be moved into a different place but since it was only one night, we toughed it out.

I am so impressed with everything that was provided, the location of the house, the friendliness of the people who work at the store, how beautifully decorated the home was. Everything was absolutely perfect!! Thank you so much for allowing my friends and family to stay. We had an absolutely amazing time and are already planning our next trip there♡

It was clean, spacious, and a great location. It is above a store that closes at 10pm every night. After 10 pm it was quiet and it was perfect!
Only complaint... The air conditioner is managed by the shop below. We went on the hottest day of the summer. We needed air conditioning. It was fine the first and third night. The second night the staff downstairs turned off the air conditioner when they left the store at 10pm. The hottest of all the days. We all sweat ridiculously all night. It was a miserable evening. We also went down there a couple times to have them adjust the air lower and they said they couldn’t go lower than 67 which may have been what it was downstairs but we were upstairs and it was hit. My recommendation is for you to make sure they don’t turn off the air at night on the hottest day of the summer!!
Otherwise, would definitely recommend and stay there again.

We had a lovely stay at Hillside Hideaway. The apartment was spotless, lots of fluffy towels, tons of room for the family and the beds were perfect. The place was well stocked with "everyday" items to make our stay even more pleasant. One small suggestion is to perhaps provide small room fans for the two larger bedrooms to use as "white noise" to cover the road and morning store sounds. We had a wonderful time here and will stay again the next time we're in the Munising area!!
