Oporto Palace Apartments

Cute little apartment next to the best area for walking and eating in the city. Very clean, no weird smells. And a wall mounted AC unit to help manage the temperature. The owners were attentive to make sure I got in ok and checked to make sure everything was going well throughout my stay. Would absolutely stay here again.

There can be noise leaks from the next unit but it wasn’t a problem for me. It seems to be normal in Portugal. There is also a lot of construction in the area which again wasn’t a problem but you should be aware that it makes me the sidewalks a little tricky in the day time. The windows block the construction noise very well should you need to be in the unit during the day.

Clean and spacious apartment. All the kitchenware are available. Coffee machine with pods is available. Great bakery next door. Staff is always available and responsive.

Shower gel holder is bigger than the bottle, please adjust it, because it’s difficult to squeeze out the gel

We really enjoyed how easy was the communication with the staff and how lovely they were. They even let us store our luggage for a few hours on their reception on the first day. Moreover, the taxi from the airport to the building was free and arranged by the staff.

1. The door window was stuck, so the only sunlight we had was from the the balcony door (note: the door window was half of the room, as shown in pictures). 2. The lock on the bathroom door was missing so everytime we want it to use it, it didn’t close (no privacy). 3. There was no heat in the bathroom, which made it quite cold. 4. The toilet lid was broken. 5. The shower drain was loose and potentially dangerous. 6. The Wi-Fi in the apartment only worked intermittently. 7. This is a minor concern, but having only two pillows at bed was not ideal. The bed wasn’t comfy so only having one pillow per person (I stayed with my partner) wasn’t ideal.
