WINTER ADVANTAGE – LOCATION!
Skiing at Palisades Tahoe? Relax, and miss the traffic entirely. Walk to the lifts and Village. Bring food for your stay, and you can eat, sleep, ski and be merry. It’s about 10-12 miles to Tahoe City, and Truckee for groceries, more restaurants, or sightseeing or watersports on LAke Tahoe or the Truckee River. This condo is located on the valley floor, so there are no icy, steep roads or driveways to navigate.
SPRING-SUMMER-FALL ADVANTAGE – LOCATION!
The trail head for the beautiful Shirley Canyon hike is steps away, and there's a pedestrian/bicycle/skate trail that takes you through Olympic Valley, then along the Truckee River to Tahoe City and beyond. By car, it's just 10 minutes from rafting the Truckee River, a swim in Lake Tahoe, or a stroll in historic downtown Truckee.
CONVENIENT TO AMENITIES AND TRANSPORTATION: A short walk delivers you to the local market, ATMs, yoga studio, fitness, and more. Staying in Olympic Valley gives you access to the Mountaineer, a free shuttle service throughou the calley. Just download the app and request a ride. there's also a free shuttlev tp and from EVerline Resort & Spa, as well as TART, the public bus to get to Trucke or Tahoe City.
OLYMPIC VALLEY:
Palisades is world famous for it's skiing, and was the site of the 1960 Winter Olympic Games, but there are plenty of other activities to enjoy, including snowshoeing, X-C skiing, snow tubing and ice skating, and building snowmen before taking a hot chocolate break.
There's a binder in the condo that provides useful information about the property, and some basic info on local places and activities.
THE VILLAGE AT PALISADES TAHOE:
Walk to the Village for some family summer-fun activities like miniature golf, sky jump, climbing wall, candle making, or riding the Tram up 2000' for panoramic views and mountaintop hiking from High Camp. Check out the boutiques shops, restaurants, spa, wine bar, or Irish Pub, several of which regulalry book live musical entertainment.
EVERLINE RESORT
About a 3-mile drive down the valley (take the free shuttle from the village or ride the bike path),you'll find more restaurants, shops, an 18-hole golf course, sledding, ice skating, and X-C skiing (ski & skate rentals available). The Everline shuttle leaves the village on the quarter hour and returns from Everline on the hour and half-hour.
And that’s just in Olympic Valley. Lake Tahoe is just 10-15 minutes away.
