Excellent/seamless check in. Kitchen outdated but worked out well. Wi-Fi is spotty. Goes in and out but again , it was fine. Location is impressive! I wanted something right on the sand and this couldn't be more perfect! I love that I was able to bring my fur babies along! We all had a blast! I would definitely come back! Communication was above and beyond. The TVs were not working when we arrived. I notified Ralph and a technician was sent the next day and they were both fixed. I appreciate the promptness. Thank you so much! New flooring and a kitchen update and the home would be perfect! Loved it regardless. Just a suggestion. :) Enjoyed the gorgeous weather and sunsets.

A great family friendly home right on the beach! Fall asleep to the sounds of the waves, grill on the deck, or walk to the many shops and restaurants nearby. We all had an absolutely wonderful time! Would definitely rent again.

Lovely upstairs unit. We’ve stayed in the downstairs unit many years ago and have stayed in several places within a half block over the last 15 years. Del Mar is THE place and this beach (18th street area) is the best of the area in our view (which is why we keep coming back!). This stay was excellent - 4 single beds and a big bed in the primary slept everyone comfortably. This place isn’t upscale and fancy (needs updating) but that’s how we like our beach stays. It’s the perfect size too. Kitchen was well stocked but: My only tip would be to bring a knife sharpener, all the knives were as dull as they could be! Overall a fantastic stay and property!

This location can't be beat! The spacious home is directly on the sand with the ocean in your front yard. Unbelievable views and scenery! As mentioned in the other reviews, the home is dated, but the photos are accurate and the price is commensurate with what is offered. Overall, incredible value for being directly on the beachfront.Ralph was prompt with his communication and the check-in and check-out was a breeze. (pun intended ;-)We would recommend this property and hope to be back soon!

You really cannot beat the location, and the place is spacious and comfortable. As other reviewers have said, the furnishings are dated, but its such a lovely place to be that doesn't really distract from the stay. Also there was a very generous amount of beach chairs, towels, etc. available to use.

My husband and I, along with our dog, enjoyed our stay in this cozy California beach rental. We were all comfortable and had everything we needed. The beach location cannot be beat. Ralph was responsive to my questions and accommodating. He gave us an earlier check-in time which was so nice. We were checked in and enjoying the beach by 11am on our first day.

Location, location, location! This rental has it all, it’s absolutely wonderful. Right on the beautiful beach of Del Mar, close to town, the park, and restaurants. We walked Miles in both directions on the white sand. Sat on the deck and ate breakfast. Lunch and dinner. The views and activities of Del Mar are priceless, and no better place to view it from here. Can’t wait to go back.!

The property location is perfect. The home is spacious and everything you need is right there. We had a great time running and walking on the beach. Ralph was also very helpful and responsive with any and all issues that arose. The pictures are accurate regarding the furnishings. The inside is dated but it works great as a family beach pad.

Property right on the beach near Del Mar village. Great location. The place was spotless when we arrived. The inside is a bit aged, but all works just fine. I didn't like the 8:30am checkout time. The VRBO listing leaves one to believe that you have the whole building, but you only have the top floor. It had all the rooms it advertised, but it surprised us that we had downstairs neighbors. I thought VRBO advertised that you never share a location... In any case, it was clean, easy, right on the beach, and walking distance from lots of stuff to do. Thanks to the hosts so much. Gary

Amazing location! Upper unit of property so some stairs. Clean, tidy, and stocked; if you need can opener maybe bring your own, one there of course, but difficult to get clean open can. Loved loved our family trip celebrating a 50th birthday, so much space and if I didn’t say so the location is AMAZING! Unit was clean and didn’t mind carpet throughout, you are at the beach!
