About this cottage rental
SEA LA VIE: Location! Location! Location! This classic cedar-sided beach house is located five houses (200 feet) from the beach and is just as close to the bay. It sits on a short block with few other houses, giving you a completely private beach experience. The house is within walking distance to wonderful restaurants, cafes, ice cream parlors, markets, plus more and has been recently renovated both inside and out. It features a fully stocked new kitchen with stainless steel appliances and two new full baths. There's a bedroom with a queen bed and an adjoining full bathroom on the main floor; upstairs there are three more bedrooms (two with queen beds, one with two sets of bunk beds). High quality mattresses were recently purchased. The house has a charming front porch and a spacious (and completely private) backyard with a patio, gas grill and new outdoor shower. The yard is beautifully landscaped and features a dining table and patio furniture (with new custom cushions), new shed stocked with beach chairs, boogie boards, beach toys and towels. Owner writes for HGTV magazine and has strived to make this house feel like a home for tenants. If you want a vintage beach rental with modern amenities, this house is for you. To note: we do not rent to persons under 25 or for prom. Important: Please read the renter's agreement before booking. Once you have booked, you will be emailed a lease to sign. This charming, tasteful historic bungalow is on a quiet block just a few houses from the ocean, within sight of the bay and an easy walk to the market, coffee and ice cream shops and several good restaurants. We have decades of experience renting on LBI and this house is our hands down favorite--the beadboard walls and ceilings give the home unique character while its updated kitchens and baths are fully modern. The house is comfortable, well-organized and beautifully furnished. Colleen and Marc have thoughtfully equipped it with everything from beach towels(!) to potted herbs on the back porch. The well-tended backyard garden is serene and private. The screen porch in front is unbeatable for coffee on a summer morning. A gem.

Super cute house in a great location. Host was quick with communication and the house had all the amenities one would need for a beach vacation- we loved the screened in porch.

We spent two weeks here and had an amazing time! The house is so cozy and beautifully decorated. Every single thing you need to enjoy the beach and the backyard is in the shed, from boogie boards to cornhole to coolers and more! The beach is a stone's throw away and my kids crabbed for hours on the public dock directly across the boulevard. The teenagers used the LBI shuttle to Bay Village and my husband and I spent hours sitting on the screened in front porch.
The owners of this house are so wonderful and were accessible at all times. The house is so well maintained and we didn't lack for a thing during our stay. I highly recommend this property and can't wait to go back again!
