There are also lots of footpaths leading from the town towards Loughrigg, Wansfell and Troutbeck Bridge. Windermere is an easy 10 minute drive whilst Grasmere and Keswick to the north offer plentiful fell walks to discover. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 10 yards.
