Caernarfon is also the starting point for the Welsh Highland Narrow Gauge Railway for scenic train journeys deep into the heart of the Snowdonia Mountains. A fine selection of shops, pubs and restaurants can also be found along with a golf course and a leisure centre with indoor swimming pool and tennis facilities. The lovely beaches of Anglesey and the Llyn Peninsula are within easy reach, with the nearest being just 1 mile away. There is wonderful walking, cycling and birdwatching from the doorstep.
