With the Dales Way passing the front door and the surrounding Yorkshire countryside views, Elm Cottage enjoys a quiet location with local amenities.. Ground Floor:

Private parking for 1 car; additional on road parking. No smoking.. This delightful 300-year-old cottage is located in a hamlet in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The Dales Way passes the front door and the Pennine Way is nearby. An ideal touring base and perfect for cycling, mountain biking or driving. The bustling market town of Hawes is 6 miles away with shops, restaurants and take-aways. Attractions include Gayle Mill, Countryside Museum, Snaizeholme Red Squirrel Sanctuary (sometimes seen in our garden too) and Wensleydale Creamery, home to Wallace and Gromit’s favourite cheese. There are also 3 country pubs within 6 miles. Enjoy the large enclosed south-facing garden which overlooks Oughtershaw Beck with a large patio for barbecues. Shops 6 miles, pub 4 miles.



There is no cellular mobile phone coverage in the hamlet, but the house Wi-Fi allows incoming and outgoing calls and texts using your mobile phone provider or Skype, Zoom, Facetime etc
