Superb accommodation with everything you need provided. Lovely area with fascinating Portsmouth Historic Dockyard Museums easily accessible and views from The Spinnaker breathtaking.I think this is a masterclass by the owner of how holiday accommodation should be provided!

Perfect holiday stay. The Barn is clean comfortable and fully equipped with every thing you need. It took a little getting used to, as we have never used one before, but in the end we loved the aga. As other reviewers have also commented the welcome basket was the most generous we have received at any cottage stay and the host was perfect with the right level of friendliness and being left alone at the same time.Monkwood is a lovely quiet location but well positioned for visiting Winchester, Portsmouth and the local towns or Alresford and Alton. You do need a car but the parking at The Barn was perfect. we would happily stay here again

The Barn is very comfortable and the best equipped property we have stayed in over the last 20+ years. Judith was a very welcoming host and it’s definitely on our ‘return list’.
