We had a very special time at no.57! You walk down to the cottage via long steep steps onto the sea front, its very magical. Not for those who are infirm or too young or too old. The walk along the seafront around the headland to the pub in Gardenstown is very safe and charming, the sunsets are spectacular! Every day its beautiful come rain or shine. The log fire was hugely comforting to lock yourselves in on wet windy days. The local area is beautiful, the locals are incredibly friendly, and the house is so lovely. We felt very secure and happy and cosy. We explored all day and snuggled up in the evenings. My advice is make sure you arrange a grocery delivery and eat at home. The local pub is great for a drink and bite to eat, but that is all and the take aways are in Macduff which is great, has a great marina for the kids to explore. The people and the wildlife and the cottage and the very unique and special village of Crovie has to be visited! We will be back. We thought it was spectacular. Our hosts were so friendly and helpful and could not do enough. The house is warm and toasty and really clean and well equipped and full of charm. The shower is super hot too, a bonus! Please go. The beach is great to explore, take your crabby nets and bait. Explore away, you are at one with nature here and its for those that want to go somewhere different and get away from it all. Its superb. Please go! Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

The most scenic setting for any cottage we've rented. The local amenities I scored were the best barrow for transporting your holiday essentials from car park to cottage and the bench outside to take in the stunning view . Cottage well equipped ,thoroughly enjoyed the log burner on the cooler, wetter days we had. Emma a very helpful owner.

Perfect location - in our view the relative lack of amenties is a positive! The cottage has bags of character and stunning views over the bay - we even watched dolphins crossing the bay a few moments after we arrived. Emma was a wondeful host and kept in touch during the week - although we had no issues, I'm sure they would have been sorted straight away. Would definitely recommend the cottage if you want a shore-side location within easy reach of beautiful coast.
