Lawn Lodge has its own private parking and enclosed, lawned garden, and is adjacent to the owner’s renowned hotel, where guests can enjoy complimentary use of the extensive leisure facilities, including a heated indoor and outdoor swimming pool (outdoor pool - summer only) and terraces/grounds. There is also a spa treatment centre (prices on enquiry), bar, two restaurants, and breakfast is offered at a discounted rate.
The ever-popular New Forest is a haven for wildlife with many ponies roaming across the heathland, extensive walks, cycling and riding routes. There is plenty to do in the area for all ages, all year round, including Beaulieu Motor Museum, Bucklers Hard, Marwell Zoo, New Forest Wildlife Park and Southampton with its maritime history, to name but a few! It is only a 10-minute drive to historic Lymington, with waterside dining, boutiques and ferries to the Isle of Wight. Lawn Lodge is also within easy reach of many beaches, including Sandbanks, Poole and Bournemouth. Beach 5 miles. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 100 yards.

A great property further enhanced by the facilities at the Balmer Lawn Hotel.
Ideally located in the centre of the Forest giving easy access to most attractions.
We will certainly be going back!

We had a really relaxing weekend, the staff were lovely, friendly and welcoming, food at the hotel was delicious. It was a good place to stay with my dogs, because there are plenty of places to walk them. I would recommend this place to stay

Wonderful cottage in a lovely setting. Very clean and had everything you need.
Unfortunately the pool was closed due to maintenance issues but the lodge was so comfortable

Lovely cottage, very good location. We enjoyed our stay very much but a few niggles, one major.
Minor - no vacuum and we were there for 5 nights.
Didn’t look in the garage so didn’t find the washing machine!
Two slots in the toaster didnt work- prefer toast on both sides!
Kettle - hot drinks tasted awful unless we ran the water a bit, emptied the kettle and rinsed it out.
Seating for 5 in the sitting room, sleeps 6-8
Major - advertised as ‘pet friendly’, no mention that pets are only allowed in the kitchen diner, not the sitting room or bedrooms. Bedrooms yes, but sitting room, especially as it has a dark carpet and dark leather furniture?
I have to confess I hadn’t read the reviews. The owner’s reply to one review was its appreciated by visitors without dogs. Yes but it’s advertised as friendly to visitors with dogs!
Deep in the information pack is a threat to charge £250 for a deep clean if there was a ‘trace’ of dog hairs in the wrong places - not made clear at the time of booking. Any dog owner will know that dog hairs get on clothes and then go everywhere!
We book cottages at home and abroad so don’t expect everything to be perfect but I can’t pretend that worry over leaving even a trace of our dogs didn’t affect our enjoyment.
I can’t comment about the hotel facilities as we didn’t use them apart from one evening meal in the restaurant.
