About this house rental
This beautiful beachfront home on the Isle of Palms offers panoramic ocean views and a private boardwalk leading directly to the beach. Nestled beneath mature island oak trees, the home is thoughtfully decorated with cheerful coastal colors and Charleston-inspired artwork, creating a warm and inviting seaside retreat.
The kitchen includes a small breakfast bar with granite countertops and flows seamlessly into the dining area, where the table seats 8 and opens to the main living room. The living room features an open-concept layout with a flat-screen TV and ample seating, making it a comfortable gathering space for family and friends.
Just beyond the living room, an expansive screened porch stretches across the back of the home and is lined with rocking chairs—an ideal spot to relax, enjoy the ocean breeze, and watch the sunset over the water.
On the third floor, the primary suite offers a spacious bedroom with a private sundeck and an ensuite bathroom featuring an oversized soaking tub, providing a peaceful private escape.
The large backyard offers generous green space, perfect for family games and outdoor activities. A private boardwalk leads from the yard directly through the dunes for convenient beach access.
Please note there is a public easement between 2508 Palm and 2600 Palm Blvd along the right side of the property. This designated walkway allows public access between the two properties and through the dunes to the beach. The easement is clearly marked by posts along the right edge of the property.

We enjoyed this homey beach cottage. While obviously an older home, we were perfectly comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped, the view is wonderful, and the layout is great. It was a little musty on arrival, but it did not bother me (I’m very sensitive). I was worried the beach access would affect privacy, but it was not heavily used or noticeable (July stay). The beach area is a “sweet spot” in terms of crowds. A maintenance issue (caused by our kids) was dealt with easily. All in all, a perfect family place! There are some flying insects that need dealing with (cleaning crew should vacuum behind furniture), but nothing that would prevent me from staying here again.Kudos to the lawn crew who did not come early and made quick work of the massive lawn and did not use leaf blowers excessively!

Hammock pillow was fllthy and not fit for anyone to lay their head on and I requested a new one and never heard back. someone came to help with a sliding door that wouldn't open. He said he would be back but we never heard back.

Overall wonderful ocean views & great location can not be beat. However, this house is in dire need of updating! Old carpet in bedrooms, old bathrooms & dated kitchen need refreshing. Heat worked well, massive front porch & yard were really enjoyed! We really loved the front yard, huge! Played soccer with our 2 year old grandson. Only other con is that there were two large dead cockroaches on the living room floor when we arrived. Looked like no one had checked the house before we arrived. Beautiful trees in the front yard. Check in was a breeze as it always has been with Island Realty! We love renting from them!
