The entire house consists of a large open living, eating and gourmet kitchen area, plus a separate fully equipped studio kitchen, a large family room and four bedrooms (one king bed, two queen beds and one full bed). The four beautiful bathrooms are all fully tiled, with glass vanities and euro-style full-body power showers. One bathroom also offers a whirlpool tub. The beautiful trails on this property, and the owners’ adjoining land, offer country strolls and cross-country skiing and snowshoeing during winter season. With beach passes for idyllic Queechy Lake, swimming and kayaking are only five minutes away. Bikers can enjoy cycling the dirt roads near the house or on the many trails in the region. Spend warm summer evenings dining on the porch or out on the patio. The property is configured so that two families can share the home, yet maintain individual privacy if required. Knoll Rock is not ideal for toddlers who are just walking. Well supervised/behaved children are welcome. Easy accessibility via nearby Route 22 and I90. New York City is approximately two and a half hours and Boston two hours. As well as renting as an entire property, the property can be rented as just the main house (3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms), or studio wing (one large bedroom, living room, kitchenette and bathroom).
Guests have full access to all accommodations, other than the basement and attic. Bikes, kayaks, paddleboards and snowshoes, according to the season, are available by arrangement with the hosts. We have passes for the lovely private beach at Queechy Lake, for summer swimming The house is stocked with many wonderful games, books and movies. There are three large screen Roku TVs offering streaming Netflix, HBO, Showtime and other popular entertainment and news channels. With a cell tower less than a mile away, phone and data service is normally very good. We maintain trails on both properties (12 acres total), offering country strolls and mountain biking, or XC skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. Our neighboring network of dirt roads also offers biking and hiking opportunities. Close to all the wonderful places of interest and cultural activities of the Berkshires and Hudson Valley. A short drive from Tanglewood, Shakespeare & Co, Kripalu, The Mount, Hancock Shaker Village, Jiminy Peak, Catamount, Bousquet, etc.
