Cute cabin!

It was a cute little cabin. Very small not made for a lot of people. We had 4 adults and not a lot of room to sit while relaxing to watch the tv. The downstairs bedroom was nice and very comfortable bed. No bathroom upstairs and I think just way too many beds upstairs. It felt very cramped. It did smell of old wood when you first came in but that’s just an old cabin for you. It worked for the weekend but not sure I would stay here again.

So, if you enjoy a musty-smelling, damp-aired, outdated Jed Clampett home-where every corner creaks louder than Granny's rocking chair and the decor hasn't changed since oil was struck in the backyard-then this is the place for you! And that faint scent of mildew? Well, that's just the house's way of saying it's lived a full life.
Ideal for anyone who loves vintage... or has a strong tolerance for questionable air quality!
No seriously, I chose this house based off the wonderful reviews. But I felt like I was back in my granny’s house. Besides the kitchen, everything in this house needs updating, but that’s my opinion. Some ppl like reliving the 50’s. There are 2 other reviews that mentioned the outdoor lighting, one submitted over a year ago in 2023. Apparently the owners haven’t addressed the lighting. There is 1 light all the way at the end of the front porch that doesn’t nearly serve adequately. We wanted to enjoy the crisp night air on the porch and unless you want to sit in the pitch darkness with all the mountain critters, or light a candle, you’re out of luck. This is also a hazardous condition. We had to leave the car running with lights on to see our way into the house and the rocks at the back door are uneven and dangerous in the dark.
I’m sorry, but this house wasn’t my cup of tea. Nevertheless, thank you for hosting us.
