We loved basically everything. Comfortable bed, functional kitchen, cozy living room and dining room. I'd be happy living here. We have stayed in many different places, and we can't think of anything that would need to be improved in any way. Was well equipped, cozy and comfortable, secure and peaceful. We spend most of Saturday laying in the hammock looking at the tree tops, that was perfect. We didn't need to reach out to the host for any situation because everything went perfectly for us. We feel lucky to have found this place and we hope to come back someday soon.

We had a great stay! We will definitely be back. The loft ladder was kind of scary, with narrow planks, so we did not go up there. The kitchen appliances are really old, but they all worked great! The bed and futon were very comfortable, and the towels were soft and wonderful. Perfect proximity to town. My Son enjoyed chasing lizards and squirrels in the yard. We purchased peanuts from the market, and we fed the blue jays and squirrels.I gave four stars for "accuracy of online listing." It stated the following would be provided, but was not provided:1. Propane and charcoal grill2. Firewood for the fireplace3. Espresso machineWe were bummed about the grill, but made it worked cooking inside. There was a double oven, and we made some great meals. The kitchen had everything we needed. I was not able to back down the driveway. I could not see, so I dove straight down, made a three-point turn, and parked in the parking spot on the left. Upon leaving, I would back up next to the house to get a running start, which was needed. Thank you Tim for the great place! We will be booking again soon.

We truly enjoyed our time at this cabin. It is a good size, comfortable bed. Kitchen counter space was little tight, but microwave & toaster worked well with adequate numbers of dishes, cups, utensils & pans, pots, etc. Heater works very well. My husband loved big reclining chair. Outside patio was very nice to enjoy just sitting & enjoying the trees. About 10 min drive to the town area, which was perfect distance. Overall, very well kept cabin & the property manager responded really quickly to text. We will love to stay here again next time we go back.

Idyllwild is an adorable town and this cabin matches the vibe. Lots of nice touches like extra blankets, laundry detergent in the cabinet was a nice surprise, there cute signs everywhere and lots of cooking supplies. The loft was fun for the kids, overall just what we needed for a fun weekend getaway.

My wife and I just returned from a quick weekend getaway. The cabin was perfect!! Very cozy in a quiet area of Idyllwild. Kitchen was well stocked and bed was very comfortable. We also utilized the front deck quite a bit to enjoy the weather and wildlife. Can’t wait to come back!

I was attending a birthday party for a friend of mine that lived nearby. I arrived late in the evening and there wasn’t much of a moon, so it was a little difficult to find at first, but once I found it, the check-in instructions were accurate and I settled right in. This cabin has a lot of charm and is very comfortable. , perfect for a secluded cabin getaway.., The only thing I would like to change about it would be a quieter refrigerator, and the strong scent of Final Net hairspeay in the bathroom. Again, just minor nuance items. Nothing that should keep any bloody from renting this wonderful little slice of heaven. Thank you so much for making it available to us!

My boyfriend, dog and I stayed at this lovely, cozy cabin for the weekend. It was was quiet, clean and very comfortable. It was just what we needed! Everything was as described and I'd like to add that the mattress was VERY comfortable. I would definitely recommend.

My partner and I stayed at this charming gnome cabin for a week and our experience was beyond our already high expectations. The cabin is so cozy and charming. It has a rustic, mountain feel along with all of the comforts of home. Tim and Karen have thought of everything that one might need. We found the wood bucket stocked so we could make a fire right away. It was so lovely, we made a fire almost every night while we snuggled with our glasses of wine on the couch. The kitchen has everything you need to cook whatever you want. The bed was comfortable with plenty of warm blankets if needed. It is not far from Idyllwild, where we explored, met the Mayor (a dog!!) and enjoyed dinner at elegant restaurants 2 nights. Tim was easily accessible when I needed help with connecting to Netflix, although we only watched it once! We took walks along the winding roads and met a couple of friendly residents getting ready for the summer. I highly recommend this little hide away and would definitely stay there again if we go to Idyllwild. Even though the driveway is steep, backing in, as Tim suggested, worked well and we had no difficulty with it. Also, there is a loft above the main floor with two beds and plenty of space for children to have their own space while still being close enough to be well supervised.

My husband and I wanted a quick getaway from the city for a couple nights, and this cabin was just what we needed! The check-in/out process was easy (they even let us know the cabin was cleaned early and offered us early check-in), we loved sitting on the deck with our dog and feeling the storm breezes, and capping off the night with a fire in the fireplace. Tim and Karen made it a hassle-free last minute trip and we hope to book again in the future!

First of all, I stayed a week and don't think you'll ever find better hosts than Tim and Karen. They are very attentive to detail, and responsive to any and every concern. The only condition I feel obligated to mention is the driveway. Not being paved, it does have some rather deep loose gravel spots (enough to catch your wheel) and in my experience can be deceptively steep. So listen to the comments and know your vehicle. (Just personally, mine is a bit too large for me to maneuver easily). But if you can back down successfully, park next to the house, and get a running start - you really will be fine! Or, if you prefer walking/hauling down and up, there's a dedicated parking space at the top. Now, with that being said... I really want to emphasize that Tim and Karen have made sure this lovely little cottage has all the warm comforts of home, with every need met to one's heart's content. The forest surroundings inside and out are charming and delightful. And it truly is a treasure of peaceful tranquility, nestled in the beauty of Creation.

We took our kids to AstroCamp and needed a place to stay while they were there. This cabin did not disappoint, it had everything you could possibly need plus some. Supper clean and cozy! Close to city center where there is food and a ton of really cool shops. Our kids are already talking about going to AstroCamp again next year and we really hope we can stay here again!! We had a lovely time at the cottage . The location is located on a quiet lane, with plenty of privacy . We had a relaxing time, enjoying the fireplace and movies . The outdoor area was peaceful for reading and relaxing. The deck was perfect for our little dog, as it had a gate to keep her contained. The owner was very responsive,and helpful in our planning. We will be returning for another visit the next time we visit Idyllwild .

This is the cutest and funkiest 50's style Idyllwild cabin. It has been upgraded with nice amenities, you have it simple but very comfortable spending the weekend surrounded by nostalgia. It's seen a lot of use and wears it like a badge of honor. I do wish that the outdoor deck area was set up for sitting awhile because I didn't want to spend the entire time in the cabin. It is classic dark inside with the knotty pine board walls and ceilings during the day. I can't see sitting inside all day, didn't want to play tourist and leave to shop, didn't want to eat out, too old to hike Taquitz! We got some really nice doggie walks in but had to keep the dogs in the car or in the cabin while we were outside as the deck fencing doesn't go down to the deck and our little dogs both jumped and bolted so we had fun chasing them down when they discovered they could escape. All in all it was a nice weekend. Loved the general area but you better be ready to drive down a very steep hill to park next to the cabin. I don't think it's a good choice for people who aren't real ambulatory. But most of those cabins are like that with crazy steep stairways etc. Not much a view but you are in the mountains surrounded by trees and the ambiance of nature out of the hustle bustle of town. It is a very peaceful location.

Me and my husband and are dog loved it . I was up to recover from throat cancer and to beat the heat of Palm desert we had a nice relaxing time here. The owners our management of the property were good in answering and questions we had and also very helpful .Everything you need is there just like home the front patio has a little gate for your small ones our a small dogs . The only thing I could say if your a senior with a cane it can be a little bit of a challenge for everyday walking. And the parking is steep for most cars to park near the cabin . but there is parking up a little hill just becareful of loose gravel when going up our down . Happy trails .
