The house is wonderful. Good sized kitchen, big pool, comfy beds, nice bathrooms. We spent most of our time outside in the lanai outside the main level. We had a problem with one of the sliders. Sarah sent handyman Juan to fix it in a timely manner. We used the used gas grill once. Worked good. No problems. The pool and spa was great. We would come back again except for one thing. My husband is pushing 80, it was hard with all the steps. He made do and was careful. And thank you for the chocolate macadamia nuts. A welcome treat. Beautiful ocean view. Also, the neighborhood is nice with close shopping.

My family had a wonderful time here at this vacation rental. Sandra was so helpful with any questions! The cleaning crew did a wonderful job. The pool and hot tub were a nice addition to our stay and my family used it daily. The view from the upper lanai was beautiful. The beach below was rocky but we did have a chance to snorkel one day when the water was more calm. It was great to have air conditioners in the bedrooms to stay cooler when needed. Most of the time we just used the ceiling fans. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans etc for cooking. It was the perfect location for my daughter’s boyfriend to ask her to marry him. We would love to come back again someday!

My whole family loved our stay here. The back porch view of the ocean was so peaceful. I loved enjoying this morning view with my coffee while listening to waves crashing.We were very excited to see whales on our first morning! Even saw a whale tail as it descended.

We had a great time at a great location. Morning coffee on the upper balcony gave us views of outriggers, surfers, and Humpback Whales! Sandra gave us great suggestions on her favorite beaches, markets, eateries, coffee plantations, etc. We toured/snorkeled all around the island and got to see the Kilauea volcano erupting (Episode 9 started earlier in the day of our visit!).

My family including my wife, my sister, my brother and most importantly, my 80 year mother (us kids gave her the vacation as birthday gift) and myself loved the property. The view from the deck was absolutely gorgeous and watching the sunsets was second to none. The property is well cared for and the pool and hot tub were very clean. There were plenty of towels, dishware, small appliances including two dishwashers. The only thing that should be highlighted a bit more is that the property is really a 3 bedroom home and they put a door to the basement/wet bar area and called that a bedroom. There is only a glass door separating these two spaces so if couples want privacy in both rooms, that will be a challenge. If it is a big family with lots of kiddos, staying in this space/s then it would likely be fine. Worse thing about this place is that it is so awesome, we didn’t want to leave. :). Thanks for letting us stay!! We would love to return!!

The photos don’t do the property justice. The house was clean and fully stocked with everything we could ever need. There is great indoor and outdoor space and plenty of beach supplies to make our stay more incredible. Highly recommend staying here.

This wonderful property had plenty of room for our three generation party of six. It’s a short walk to a fantastic snorkeling spot. We enjoyed the private pool and hot tub. It was very close to shopping, restaurants, and activities. The location made a great home base for our day trips to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Hilo, Mauna Kea, and Kapaau. Our favorite part was the enjoying the ocean view from the balcony. We even saw dolphins! The AC units in the bedrooms were appreciated. Overall a wonderful place in a fantastic location. I’d happily stay there again.

This property is located within a very short walk to the beach and other ocean activities such as snorkeling tours, etc. Quiet neighborhood on conveniently located. The host met us at the house and showed us around. A very good experience!

This home had everything our family of 6 could wish for! Plenty of space, a well stocked kitchen, and a beautiful interior…but the LOCATION took it over the top. Expansive ocean views while sitting on the balcony every morning for coffee, and every evening with cocktails…just paradise. The private pool was an added bonus!!! We cannot wait to book our next family vacation here!!!

We were a group of 2 families and we have zero complaints. We were worried about the temperature in the living room at first but with the bedrooms cool, the pool and the breezy lanai we were all comfortable. There were plenty of supplies and the beach closet was great. You definitely need water shoes. There was a lack of privacy in the master bathroom but it was fine. Neighborhood was nice and quiet. The beach attached to the house is all rock and was pretty rough but people go there to snorkel.

We had a lovely stay at this bit of paradise. I hadn’t been this relaxed in years! The private pool and the wonderful views of the ocean were definite highlights. The house was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The neighborhood is quiet but still close to grocery stores and a few restaurants. A perfect place for family or couples. This house worked perfectly for our group of 7. It's all about location and the view off the lanai for this one. We would spend the day out exploring the island and then come home to use the pool and watch the sunset. Having the grocery and restaurants so close by was a plus for sure. We would stay here again for sure and recommend to anyone. The views of the ocean and the sound of the waves crashing while relaxing out back will stay with us forever.

With that said being a home and a home located on the ocean there is always something that needs attention. Just let Sandra know. If it can be fixed easily it will get done. We loved our stay. The home is very comfortable and homey. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen for all the meals we prepared for our group of 8. The beach equipment was nice to have for our day at the beach. The view can't be beat. We would definitely stay here again.

The lanai was perfect ! Great for meals, relaxing on lounges and a great view of ocean. Kitchen was well equipped, could not figure out how the ceiling lighting/fan worked so it was a little dark with just the under counter lights. Pool and hot tub were good, not sure if it is the norm in Hawaii but hot tub never really got hot, maybe 90F max. Would stay again as it was great for our family of 6 adults and 3 children of various ages.

After seeing the pictures of the place, one might think it is too good to be true. Believe it or not- this place is even better than the pictures! Everything about this house is incredible. Sunsets from the deck looking over the ocean. An incredibly spacious and clean house (my family of 6 stayed there with PLENTY of room). Honestly, our family did not want to tour the rest of the Island because we were so obsessed with this house! The pool and hot tub were incredible, and being a stone's throw to the ocean simply made our family have a once in a lifetime vacation. Dealing with the owner was truly easy and she was so helpful, patient, and quick to respond. We cannot wait to go back again as I would book it again in a second! This house is a must!

We had a group of 6 adults staying at this property. The location is perfect. There is a rocky beach you can walk to in a couple minutes as well as a harbor you can swim in a few minutes further. The harbor is also where most of the manta ray snorkeling trips leave from and you can watch their lights in the evening. Some of the best snorkeling on the island is only a 5 minute drive (or easy to walk to if motivated). There’s a plaza with grocery and dining options very close as well as the outrigger hotel with a market and restaurants. Location is definitely the highlight of this property. Waking up every morning and enjoying coffee on the lanai overlooking the ocean was amazing. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and even has 2 sinks and dishwashers which came in handy with our group of 6. The downstairs closet had a good sized cooler as well as beach chairs and a boogie board. Perfect for a day at Magic Sands Beach, that is also just a few minutes by car away. One thing to be aware of is that the two queen bedrooms are next to each other separated by glass doors and curtains. The room to the outside does not have ac. Honestly, with how close to the beach you are ac is not needed as the breeze and the fan does a great job. I’d definitely stay at this house again if traveling with a group. We all left with a true feeling of Aloha and can’t wait to get back to the island.

Our family of 9 enjoyed the house and the location very much. We had everything we needed in the house or close by. The pool and hot tub were a nice addition that the children really enjoyed. The location is very good allowing you to walk to the black sand beach or boat harbor with ease. Many other attractions are within a 20 min drive. My only two criticisms are that the house and furniture are a bit worn and could use attention and the lack of AC is the common areas of the home can be a bit of an issue when the weather is warm. Temps averaged between 76-80 degrees during our stay and it was quite hot inside the house even with all the doors and windows open and the fans running. Having AC in the bedrooms was a blessing. Our overall experience was a good one and I would recommend the property to others.

From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the impeccable cleanliness and attention to detail. The pictures simply do not do justice to the breathtaking view that greeted me every morning. It was like stepping into a postcard. The location of the house is absolutely perfect, with so much to see and do in the surrounding neighborhood. In fact, my plans changed significantly because I couldn't bear to tear myself away from the beauty of the house and the mesmerizing ocean in the backyard. It truly felt like a slice of paradise. I cannot recommend this home enough to anyone looking for a truly unforgettable vacation experience. The combination of the stunning views, the pristine cleanliness, and the endless activities in the area make it an absolute must-visit. Don't just take my word for it, go and see it for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Property and view was incredible!! Like other reviews said, the photos don’t accurately depict how amazing this place is! Well stocked with toiletries, cooking supplies/utensils, and all the comforts of home. We traveled with 2 kids (infant and 3 year old) plus 4 adults and there was more than enough space. Did not have to rent a pack and play or high chair as the unit came with them! Most time was spent in the pool or on the lanai, enjoying the ocean view. We loved the (basically) private snorkeling beach. Like other beaches in Kona, it isn’t a sandy beach but just throw on some water shoes and walk down to see all the beautiful sea life Hawaii has to offer. We would stay there again!!

This house was so much better than the pictures. The location, right by the ocean with a lot of places to walk around in spectacular beauty was the best possible place for our family. The shops and restaurants are close, the activities are close, yet the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The house had everything we needed down to spare toothbrushes ... the owners have thought of everything, including fencing in the pool to keep it safe for little ones. Beach equipment, pool toys, baby things, games in the house, comfortable furniture, kitchen tools; we literally just had to unpack and had everything we needed for 10 days, other than groceries. The manager, Sandra was helpful and responsive and made sure our stay was all we had hoped it would be. I highly recommend this place for an amazing vacation. We hope to be back.

Our recent stay was outstanding. We were a family with our grandchildren. The house had everything that we needed, the kitchen was well stocked and the location was wonderful. Stores nearby, walking distance to a marina and could snorkel right by the house. The puzzles were a huge hit. It was like being home. The house is beautiful, the location was great. We had 8 people in our family ranging from age 7-63 and we had everything we needed. The ocean is just a short walk away, but you can just sit on the deck and watch/ smell it. The kitchen has everything we needed to cook several meals helping to cut costs eating out. The pool was relaxing. A few minor hiccups but I would stay here again if I were to do it all over.

This comfortable house with all the amenities you could think of and then some, with it's amazing view and perfect location made our Hawaii stay the best vacation we've ever had. Sandra was friendly and helpful. Check in was easy. We couldn't have asked for more and can't think of anything that needs improving. The beds were all comfortable, the house was extremely clean upon arrival, the neighborhood felt very safe with great places to walk around. We will definitely be back.

From beginning to end, this has been our most favorite rental to date. Yes we've stayed in more up-to-date places or locations closer to the water, but if taking the whole package into consideration (communication with owner, views, cleanliness, location, amenities, the lanai, the POOL!!!) this house was a hit for our two families. So happy with our entire stay, and would absolutely recommend!
