Fantastic location for a large group in a modern home

It was as seen in photos. Sitting room painted before arrival. It was lighter than expected. We were able to extend the dining table so could all sit down to a meal.

The heating ( which was kindly on before we arrived) so a warm house. The explanation that each radiator had its own thermostatic valve did not explain how the 2 ground floor bedrooms were controlled. Beyond individual control. The front double was stiflingly hot & had to open the window whenever in it. The single bedroom the heating failed after arrival and never came on again. These I think are old, continuing problems. I wore a fleece + pyjamas in bed. Take a torch for single bedroom, the main light switch is by the door - bed at other end of room. Other people said their beds were soft & sagged in middle.

Excellent position with good facilities for a group of friends.

Kitchen facilities and bedrooms were good. The bus service along the Abingdon Road into Oxford City Centre was excellent. Never waited more than 5 minutes.

The front door lock takes a time to master. The internal lock was not easy to sort out so in the event of a fire could be a fire hazard. The fixtures and fittings in the bedrooms were looking a bit dated. Could do with a refurb so far as decorations and pictures on the walls. The ensuite bathrooms were very welcome but generally very small. Try shaving in the minute handbasin!!

Great house to catch up with friends in

It has a beautiful well stocked kitchen/diner (with 3 fridges!) and the huge breakfast bar is a lovely place to sit and catch up with friends. It was great to have en suites with every bedroom. The property was well located - an easy walk along river or road into central Oxford or buses if you're tired.

Maybe a blanket or two to snuggle on the sofa with, although it was a warm house so not really needed, but generally a lovely place to stay.

excellent location, easy bus/ £10ish uber into city, quiet neighbourhood, lots of space and everyone had an ensuite bathroom, albeit they are very small. Nice garden, parking for one large/med car on drive. Hosts said you get 2 small ones on there.

the mattress in the main bedroom upstairs with the king size bed wasn't very comfortable, felt like an older pocket sprung one. The pillows were all very thin. One of the fans in a bathroom upstairs seemed to be permanently on so could be heard in the downstairs double all night.

hosts were flexible, available and responsive to times requested.

the dishwasher was filled with dishes on arrival. hence all cutlery was in the dishwasher. my assumption was that it was all clean however it should have been packed away in the cupboards ready for use for the next guests.

The apartment was perfect for our needs. To have all bedrooms with ensuite and bedrooms on the ground floor was a real bonus for us. Great garden space for outside eating etc. very easy for getting into Oxford city centre. Great communication and lovely to be met at the property on check in. Spaces for 2 cars - 1 large and 1 small !

The only part of the house that needs attention is the patio area. There are quite a few uneven slabs that could become a trip hazard. Also the two slabs at the top of the steps have come loose so are pretty dangerous if you didn't know about them. Because of the big difference in levels, our aged mother found it very hard to step down from the kitchen to the outside. An additional step there would be a massive help.

The property was modern, clean and welcoming. The convenience of having an en-suite for every bedroom was one of the reasons we booked this property. As always there is no bed like your own at home and some of the guests found their beds uncomfortable but doable for a short stay. One of the highlights was access by bus into the city centre! The bus stop is a 3 minute walk and buses are extremely frequent. There is also a pub and chip shop on your doorstep if you don’t want to venture too far!

Beautiful property in Excellent location. Everything very new and clean. Plenty of space and all rooms ensuite.

Heating system had some errors so radiators couldn't be adjusted, so had to sleep with windows open in some rooms and radiators on full. One of the showers was stuck on hot and some towel rails weren't working. I think everything just finished and hadn't quite been tested. Management very responsive and sorted what they could while we were there.

If you’re heading to Oxford and want somewhere that’s stylish, comfy, and super convenient, I highly recommend this place. I was thoroughly impressed by the house which was like a boutique hotel. From the moment I arrived, the attention to detail and level of care provided by the staff made me feel instantly at home. The location is perfect - It’s super close to the city centre, which was perfect for exploring all the iconic spots around Oxford. But even though it’s central, it was surprisingly quiet. The accommodation is truly top-notch. The rooms are beautifully decorated with a mix of classic and modern touches, giving a warm and sophisticated vibe. Everything was immaculately clean, and the amenities were well-thought-out, with very good WiFi to luxurious bedding and towels. The team was incredibly responsive and accommodating, ensuring that all our needs were met. Check-in was seamless, and security measures were in place to make me feel safe and secure throughout my stay. It strikes the perfect balance between a high-end hotel and the charm of a local stay. I left feeling rested and inspired – I’ll definitely be back again!

Honestly, the only downside was that we had to leave! 😅 But really, there’s nothing to complain about. Everything was thoughtfully designed and well-maintained.

We had a wonderful stay at Oxford Collegiate House during our family visit to Oxford. The house had everything we needed – it was clean, spacious, and located in a great area, making it convenient for exploring the city. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful, and we truly appreciated the warm welcome upon arrival. It made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Location. Close to parking, which was good value, 8 pounds for 2 days. Good if group coming from lots of different directions. 30 mins walk to town.

Only thing we could work out how to use the coffee machine........ ?need more coffee/tea cups....only 6 there or we could find. So not much wrong.

the smalll bedroom smelled of poor drainage from the en-suite. the radiator was also boiling, so we had to turn off the heating - which resulted in no hot water for showers in the morning. the neighbour also complained about the noise which seemed a little unfair.

We had a wonderful weekend. Communication with the host was easy and quick.

The property is perfect for a group/family. Each bedroom has an en-suite. The communal spaces are perfect. The location was great. Either a 30 minute walk into the centre or a 5 minute bus ride.

Nothing to dislike. Just a suggestion - a few more garden chairs would be nice.
