Oxford Collegiate Serviced Residence by AHG

The location was quiet enabling good sleep, fans were provided to cope with the hot weather, each room had an en-suite with toiletry supplies, the kitchen had everything and it was easy to either walk into the centre (approx 30 mins) or take one of the many buses from the 2 bus stops from around the corner (Lincoln Road or Lake Street. The Park & Ride close by too.

Could have done with more outside chairs for us all to sit outside but as we were outside during the day in Oxford, it wasn’t really a problem and the sofas in the living room area were ample.

Spacious, having an en-suite in each room was certainly a bonus. Communication with the owner was excellent.

Some of the furniture in the kitchen was a little tired.

We were met on arrival and everything was shown and explained to us. Also, it was good to be able to ask someone local about the local busses etc

It was as seen in photos. Sitting room painted before arrival. It was lighter than expected. We were able to extend the dining table so could all sit down to a meal.

The heating ( which was kindly on before we arrived) so a warm house. The explanation that each radiator had its own thermostatic valve did not explain how the 2 ground floor bedrooms were controlled. Beyond individual control. The front double was stiflingly hot & had to open the window whenever in it. The single bedroom the heating failed after arrival and never came on again. These I think are old, continuing problems. I wore a fleece + pyjamas in bed. Take a torch for single bedroom, the main light switch is by the door - bed at other end of room. Other people said their beds were soft & sagged in middle.
