About this house rental
Villa Magnifica is a gorgeous 4000 sq. foot oceanfront home with complete furnishings,
500-thread count sheets and 1000Mbps WiFi throughout. 3 HDTVs in the Living Room, Den & Master as well as 5 more flat screens in all other bedrooms enjoy premium cable TV. The pool house has a shower/changing area and a 6th bathroom.
Upon arrival, enjoy the spacious rear entertainment area complete with an inviting swimming pool & raised Hot Tub. A gracious living area around the pool area, as well as two Oceanfront decks, make for an unmatched vacation experience.
All six bedrooms, as well as the den, which can be used as a 7th bedroom, and the living room, enjoy generous proportions. The 4000 sq. foot home is big enough to enable family reunion & corporate retreat groups to enjoy unfettered access to their sleeping accommodations without bumping into the others in your group.
The 20-foot-high cathedral ceilings are graced with walls of glass that frame the beautiful sunsets each evening. The living room, den, and dining room are spacious for large groups and afford unparalleled whitewater views of the Pacific Ocean.
Private Swimming Pool and Hot Tub--Optional pool/hot tub heat is $99 per night with a minimum number of nights equal to the length of your stay, less one night. (7-night stay will have a minimum optional pool/hot tub heating fee of 6 nights X $99 = $594). Optional pool/hot tub heat at the rate of $99 per day is necessary to heat the in-ground hot tubs for those in-ground pools that have in-ground hot tubs attached to the swimming pools, as is the case at Villa Sunset Modern and Villa Magnifica--as the swimming pool and the hot tub are on the same plumbing and heating system.

Rental Rates:
All quoted Rental Rates are for rental groups of up to 14 persons (counting all adults, children, and infants). For rental groups in excess of 14 persons, there is a per-person charge of $70 per person applicable to each guest above the first 14 guests for each night of the reservation. For example, if the rental rate is $1500 per night with a 4-night minimum, then a group of 16 persons would have a rental rate of $6000 for the first 14 guests, plus $280 for the 15th guest and $280 for the 16th guest, plus taxes.
Optional pool heat at the rate of $99 per day is necessary to heat the in-ground hot tub as the swimming pool and the hot tub are on the same plumbing and heating system. At our other homes that have above-ground self-contained hot tubs that are not attached to swimming pools, like Cabo Hermosa and Villa Bermuda Beach, there is no charge for heating the above-ground hot tub at either home. Likewise, our Villa Mar Vista home has no charge for heating the above-ground self-contained hot tub, as the optional pool heat at Villa Mar Vista only heats the in-ground pool, as there is no in-ground hot tub at Villa Mar Vista. So if you desire free hot tub heating, please choose one of our homes with an above-ground self-contained hot tub at our Villa Mar Vista, Villa Bermuda Beach or Cabo Hermosa homes.

Must be approved by management before arrival.
As our guests, we kindly ask that you respect our neighbors and the community by adhering to our house rules, and keeping outside noise to a minimum during quiet hours (8 pm - 9 am). Excessive noise or partying will not be tolerated, and we have the right to terminate the reservation immediately should this be an issue. No RVs, trailers, oversized or commercial vehicles.

As expected, there are pros and cons about this home. There is a lot of space for a large group, and the layout is nice. Having a pool close by was awesome, and from our experience, there was no need to pay to heat the pool if visiting during the summer. The outdoor plants were beautiful and amazing. The outdoor view of the ocean never disappointed. The front outdoor furniture was very nice.On the other hand, the beds and furniture were pretty uncomfortable, and the blue room's bed frame sounded like it would break if there was much pressure on it. We found several dead spiders in corners and in the toy closet (but I guess that is better than living spiders). Knowing there was no A/C beforehand would probably have changed our decision to stay there. We had many fans that had to run all day and night, but that was annoying. We felt worried that the neighbors would report us to the police if our kids were loud at the pool because of the caution at check-in. Much of the home was very dated in decor. But it depended on the room; some were updated, and some weren't. The large front windows were either very old or very dirty. For how much we paid to stay there, we were surprised that the windows were in such bad shape, and there were no shades to pull when it was super sunny. Most remotes didn't work, so we had to purchase batteries for them and go around the house matching them to the correct TVs. One of the washers had mold.These are things we wish we would have known before.

The layout of the house is well suited for large families/multi generational.Host is very responsive. We’d suggest since there is no air conditioning that damaged window screens be replaced. Interior and furnishings are tired but location and views can’t be beat!!

Plenty of rooms and beds for our large family. Good location. Walking paths across the street for the cliffs. They had everything we needed at the house including toiletries and everyday essentials. Pool and hot tub were great as well

It isn't the worst, but it definitely isn't the best for the high price. There is no air conditioning, and it is very hot in the afternoons. They provide fans but it isn't enough in the summer. To try to cool the house, you have to open all the doors and windows, but none of the doors have screens, so the house fills with flies. The house is old and hasn't been maintained well. Many screens are missing or have huge holes. The front windows facing the ocean are old and filthy. The kitchen is very small and old. It is tough to have more than two people in the kitchen at one time. The stove top is ancient and the burners must be lit with a lighter. There are limited outlets throughout the house and no USB plugs are provided anywhere. Many of the light switches don't turn on anything. The parking is easy, but there are 14 long stairs to the front door, and you are not allowed to enter through the back entrance, which would be much easier. Don't bother paying to heat the pool and hot tub. The hot tub only turns on between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m., and you can't be in it after 8 p.m. We had WiFi issues, power issues, and a wasp nest, and though the property management company was very responsive, they leaned toward blaming us for some of the issues. Before checking out, you have to empty the garbage throughout the entire house, strip the sheets from all the beds, start a load of towels in the washing machine, and more. For us, the location was the only good part. The price is too high.
